The competition began on September 29th, 2022. 61 members entered the contest, and the 10 best were selected along with 10 others recommended by a jury. Then, in the October 7th, 2022 episode of [[AKB48 Sayonara Mouri-san]], these 20 members were sorted onto 4 themed teams: Takoyaki-bu, Omurice-bu, Korokke-bu, and Dessert-bu. Each team has to create a menu fitting their team’s theme food.
