The AKB48 Taiwan Audition was announced on December 7, 2014 during the HKT48's Taiwanese Concert. AKB48 Group would have auditions starting on April 17, 2015, for Taiwanese members. 17 girls were revealed to have completed the audition on August 17, 2015. They will undergo training lessons which will lead to a "final judgement," as there were more winners than intended. One member left before the training started.
