Kanji Keyakizaka46 (November 2018)

Kanji Keyakizaka46 (欅坂46) was the main group of promoted members within Keyakizaka46. They were generally referred to as just "Keyakizaka46", without the term "Kanji" in front. The distinction of "Kanji" was only used when there was a need to distinguish between them and their under group, Hiragana Keyakizaka46. The name originates from Kanji Keyakizaka being spelled with the kanji character (欅), rather than the hiragana characters (けやき) of the under group.

The group was rebranded as Sakurazaka46 (櫻坂46) on October 14, 2020.
