- Her oshimen is Sato Mieko
- After hearing that Sato Seira has trouble brushing her teeth, Rumi suggested that Seira buy an expensive toothbrush. Her reasoning was that Seira would be driven to use it because of the price.
- Says that if she could have any present, she would choose a boat. Since she loves fishing, she wants to be able to go out to sea at any time. Her desired boat is the "Cruiser"
- Coincidentally, she and Yamashita Yukari both bought each other underwear as birthday gifts. During their birthday shows, they each wore the underwear the other had bought for them
- Also, she, Yukari, and Sato Mieko all wore bright red underwear during the AKB48 Group Daisokaku Matsuri because bright red is color of Team KII. At the event, they called themselves "Team Yukari", and said that even if they were shuffled to different teams, their underwear would be united.
- Her fans wave orange and green penlights to support her, because orange and green are the colors of a mikan, her favorite food.
- Has a scuba diving license. She took the examination in Okinawa and describes it as the scariest moment of her life.
