  • On March 4, was promoted to Team H (Team H formation).
  • On June 6, during the 4th Senbatsu Election, placed 47th place. She was the only HKT48 member to rank, and the youngest overall member voted into the Top 64.
  • On October 31, was chosen as a Senbatsu member for AKB48's 28th single UZA.

  • Starting January 20, Sakura was co-star on Majisuka Gakuen 4 alongside Shimazaki Haruka, marking her first appearance in a drama.
  • On April 8, the ending theme "Idol wa Unyanya no Ken" for the video game Yokai Watch was released by NyanyaKB with Tsuchinoko Panda.
  • On April 22, was the center for HKT48's 5th single 12byou together with Kodama Haruka. This was the first time she centered an HKT48 single.
  • On November 14, was appointed the ambassador for the promotion of Cultural Property of the Kagoshima prefecture.

2016

  • On March 9, was the solo center for AKB48's 43rd single Kimi wa Melody. This was her first solo center position.
  • On August 25th, had her first appearance on AKB48 no All Night Nippon.
  • On September 1, started a twitter and instagram account.
  • Starting October, she was chosen as a model to represent Saibu Gas Co. Ltd.
