- Members sometimes pronounce her nickame as O.D.A, saying every letter out loud in English as a reference to her obsession with UFOs.
- Is an airhead. She once misheard LINE as Lion, finding it odd how she was being asked to add people on a savannah animal rather than on a messaging application.
- She appeared on the TV show HKT48 no Goboten! twice before her debut, once with Sashihara Rino and an other time with Komada Hiroka and Matsuoka Natsumi. During the episode Matsuoka Natsumi commented about how Ayaka would be a good candidate for the next generation of HKT members. However, after joining Natsumi said that the silent, airheaded girl ended up also being obsessed by UFOs.
