http://stage48.net/forum/index.php?...ack-suggestions-vi.7501/page-122#post-1794123 As much as I hate DH this is something I've been wanting for a long time (sans Eito of course).
Mmm... it is not like there is cohesive team identity for the past few years. Might as well disband them. It might solve the problem of lacking of members while being so bloated at the same time.
Hmm. I have to say I'm not too surprised by this decision, if they decided to disband Team 8 (the team that has the most "team fans" right now), it's less of a big decision to disband the other teams. I always said in recent months, and after the announcement of Team 8 disbanding, that they might as well disband Team 4 just so they can have enough members in teams without having to add new gens too often. But they end up disbanding them all o_o Right now, if we don't count the pending graduations, there are 61 members and 18 kenkyuusei in AKB. I guess one good side about this is that when a member will graduating, it will be less of a worry when it comes to replacing her in the team. That's one less problem for the group... I kinda liked having all of my favorites in the same team though (Team B) but I guess I couldn't even find the time to watch a lot of their stages (I wish they had a better setlist).
I'm just back to my hotel from the concert. Other than the OO48 member introduction which took up too much time there was a lot for me to enjoy even though as usual for me for AKB48 concerts my seat wasn't great. My favourite moment was the performance of 'Ne mo Ha mo Rumor' with all members doing the hand choreography part (not just the senbatsu). 'Doushitemo Kimi ga Sukida' in the encore was great as was the new coupling song 'Da Re DA'. It was good to see the 18ki get a proper introduction although I'd hoped that the 17ki would get their promotion to being full members. At least nobody in the group announced graduation which I feared would happen! The biggest audience reaction was for the announcement of the disbandment of the teams and the final team concerts on 8/4-6 at Zepp Yokohama. There were 3 songs which the audience could video on their phones. 'First Rabbit' didn't come out very well for me but the other 2 were somewhat better and I've uploaded them to YouTube: 'Everyday, Kachuusha': if the video does not show watch the video here 'Sustainable': if the video does not show watch the video here So tomorrow it's the final Eito shows, I'll report on them later in the day.
Yeah it was amazing! That was one of my most "wow" moment of that concert too! full size (pretty detailed, you can see the members): Pic source https://twitter.com/Mullionpresent/status/1652318713109155841 I'd also like to see that Ano Natsu no Bouhatei performance again, it looks great!
The teams haven’t been relevant since they failed to deliver the new stages in 2013 and started shuffling them almost yearly. It doesn’t really make sense to have them around when they are barely able to get together and all they do is perform almost 20-year-old songs with different line-ups. In a way, I understand the decision. Still, it’s shocking that AKB is letting go of such a distinct aspect of the group, but I guess Universal wants to try new things.
I was initially surprised that they would dissolve something that has been so integral to akb since the beginning, but like everyone else is saying, teams haven’t been important for a very long time. I’m curious to see how theater performances play out, but overall I don’t think it’ll impact the group much.
Fun fact: since AKB48's creation in 2005, every 3 years, AKB48 has massive innovations 2005: creation of AKB48 2008: first sister group (SKE48) 2011: first overseas sister group (JKT48) & rival group (Nogizaka46) 2014: Team 8 2017: Produce48 2020: OUC48, from ouchi means house an alias used by AKB48 because of the covid pandemic, members performed from their houses broadcasted by showroom 2023: Out of 48 & AKB48 new concept that is no more teams tho no teams concept had been applied by several sister groups earlier
At least they have team songs and MV although they rarely perform it lol I think universal is just their distributor? I think the decision lies mostly on DH Anyway, now they allow u to record during concert? Wow japan has changed a lot
Recording a few songs is a thing for quite some time now (can't say since when), Eito performances did that a lot.
They called it “shooting time” as far as I know, Eito has been doing that since their old old national tour. I remember the AKB48 National Tour in 2019 allowed record during the shooting time so as the Fresh Concert last year.
