I'd love to see Mayuyu take the top spot this time, that will put Maeda, Yuko, Sashii and her all tied with 2. Last time, I was so impressed how composed and still happy she was taking no. 3, finger crossed for her

I know it's kinda rude to say, but I agree with you. It's crazy to think how popular Sasshi got, and it's pretty clear that her popularity spike came from outside her AKB Group activities. With every other member, this wasn't the case. At least she broke a record, so I hope she will think deeply and take a leave from the next sousnekyo. We need another shocker like the 5th sousenkyo and break the repetitive Top 3. Even if Mayuyu had won this sousenkyo or will win the next one, it's getting annoying to see the same members win.

I was hoping for Mayu to win but in the end the gap was far to big. It could be that Mayu finishing above Sashihara in the early voting spurred her fans on, either way I think it would have been to big a gap anyway.

Based on my observation, her chinese votes and japanese votes did not grow at all in 2015.
This year, her vote boost came entirely from her chinese fans.
This means her Japanese fanbase has been stagnant for 2 years and somehow just managing to keep their vote pool together.

 

Why Mayu apologized for calling Sasshi a rival (which is not a bad thing, but she made it a big deal) yet Sasshi can call Mayu 'her best rival' on her speech and get praised for it? I like Sasshi, and a lot...but it's unfair she can get away with that and Mayu was seen as the bad one when she said it on the Sousenkyo Museum conference.

She looked beautiful, so peaceful. Congratulations Mayu, and sorry for not working harder.

 

Congratulations, Mayuyu!!!!. It was sad to see her sad face, but she was so calm and relaxed in her speech, that made me feel the same. As someone who has been following AKB since years ago,I noticed that Mayuyu really matured!!!!. And she is blossoming now.
I hope she can continue her great career as singer and actress, I hope to see more of her acting!.Ganbatte, Mayuyu-san!!!!!.
