Happy graduation Mayuyu! You will always be our queen.

 

Ah yes, she said it several times on the stage. So, still up until before new year.
That Mayuki set tho... Yuki Okaa-san will be lonely after this.

Long live the AKB48 queen.

 

This is the first graduation stage I've watched live and I really like how they spaced the sentimental songs (Yuuhi wo Miteiru ka, Omoide no Hotondo etc.) amongst all the upbeat(ish) songs. Until Mayu and Yuihan performed Yuuhi wo Miteiru ka?, I forgot I was watching Mayu graduate. I'll definitely miss her presence in AKB, and definitely plan on following her future activities.
My favourite part was when MaYuki were having their moment after Omoide no Hotondo, and the lights went on to show Sasshi standing at the side of the stage, watching everything . Also, can anyone tell me (at least roughly) what they were saying during the MC with Shiichan, Myao, Kitarie, Yukirin(?) and Sasshi? The "oohs" from the audience definitely got my attention.

 

They were talking about some old Team B times...and they were talking about boobs (at least Shiichan's)

Only Kouhaku left and then she will be gone from AKB but I plan to still follow her while solo.

It feels like when Messi retires from football someday.

 

I've been a fan of AKB48 for 3 years which is really only a short time but I've followed Mayu very closely and I do feel very privileged to have been able to meet her twice in Japan and to tell her that she's very beautiful, and to receive her lovely smile in return! I've seen some photos just now on Twitter of her taking down her photo in the Theater lobby so even though she'll appear on Kouhaku in a few days this is definitely the moment of her official graduation. I'll continue to follow her career and it's my dream to see her one day at a solo live concert. In the meantime I'll continue to be a fan of AKB48 but I do wonder how much of a sense I'll feel of "somebody's missing" when the group starts to perform the 51st single in the early months of next year...
