What I'm surprised about is that in 2018 people still can't fucking understand timezones.....

Do you all use a 20 year old Nokia phone? I'm 99% every one of you uses a smart phone. Probably over 60% an iPhone.

Just add "Tokyo" to your Clock app, and boom! in one second you can see what time it is in Japan!

Then you check the first post of the thread and see this:

Then you realize that you can look at your phone in less than 1 second and see what time it is in Japan.

Then you can stop asking every hour when it will be. I'm sure you all have an "Alarm" app on your phone. probably the same as in the "Clock" app. Then you can set an alarm. Then you can watch the SSK without worrying about not seeing it on time.

Did you really think they were going to start a livestream of the SSK results at 4AM Japan time?????

Exactly. Even though I have done exactly as you said, I also was caught up in the YouTube specifically saying "This will start in 17 minutes." I just wanted to have the link up and wondered if they were doing something special as an all night lead up. You can't blame people for listening to officials.

Also don't hate because Nokia phones were always indestructible compared to our new smart phones that barely last a year or two.

 

I didn't direct that specifically at one person. But those "OMG what time is it I don't wanna miss it!!!!!" posts happen countless times every single year the SSK comes around, or janken, or a big concert, or literally anything with a time zone in Japan.

It takes less than 10 seconds to add Tokyo to your phone Clock app, and yet every year people just refuse to do it and ask time and time again in these threads. Like seriously, is the ability to find out very easy information without being spoonfed it being lost on this generation? (god I'm still in my 20s and I'm using phrases like this... wtf)

While I also love using the webpage let me Google that for you, maybe it's best to ignore the annoying posts and either reply or don't? I agree it can get pretty annoying but I am sure they don't mean harm and sometimes someone does just want an answer.

Maybe we are old and don't have the technology prowess you youngins in your 20s have.
