LOL actually Moeka really does have so many expressions. I like many of them like some of the ones she did in her solo concert when she performed the Toy Poodle song in the cute animal costume. It was similar to Acchan when she did that thing when she smiled and you could see wrinkles on her nose (I loved when she smiled like this <3). I think Kawaei also had that. well Moeka can do this type of faces that are adorable, I want more of this! Overall I still like her natural smile the most though :cute: I guess duck face is getting mixed opinions LOL but it works sometimes and yes it can cheer you up, haha. I just prefer her more simple expressions in general [hehe]

I know this is super random but one thing I really like about Moeka is her love for ponzu. In my country, we have a liquid seasoning that has the same consistency and colour but I believe it tastes differently, and I eat this with literally everything. I love putting it on chips, pizza, lasagne, into soup, in my ice cream... if I wasn't vegetarian, I'd also have it on meat [hehe] What I'm trying to say, everyone always thinks I'm weird for liking this seasoning/sauce so much and that it can't possibly go with everything – seeing that Moeka has a similar tick makes her feel quite relatable and real to me.

And another thing, one thing that has always set J-Pop apart from K-Pop for me, is how it's not about being the perfect idol, but improving yourself. I hope to see Moeka grow as an idol through this massive opportunity. It would be the best outcome for everyone :flower:

I think her expressions are really great outside of performing. It gives her a lot of character and charm during Bingo and I can see that carrying over into MCs and such. But during filmed performances, well, you have her flanked by Nana and Yuiyui who imo typically make cute expressions and then you have FROG SCRUNCH FACE Moeka. Maybe it would be less noticeable if other members were flanking her, but in general it's not the greatest presentation of her when performing, and especially distracting with all the quick cuts of member's faces and her odd expression is mixed in them so for me it was really jarring. Maybe Yukirin could teach her the quick wink technique, I think Moeka would be good at it.

My personal opinion is I don't think Moeka was ready for a center position, or even front line. But it is what it is, so like I said before, trial under fire!

I rewatched the Sustainable live many times actually. Mostly because I love the song but also because the live is very refreshing and it cheers me up! I wonder when we will get a new live and I really look forward to it and also for the single covers and the music video of course

There was a lot of uploads with many views and japanese comments but it was deleted. Here is an upload that survived. Enjoy it until we get new content about this single

if the video does not show watch the video here

Btw I'm pretty sure the Team 8 song Suki da Suki da Suki da will be a b-side in this single and I really wish it gets a music video because it's a very cute song :cute:

    Lol

Moeka is a lot cuter than, Kermit, I must say.

I just still can't get over the senbatsu this time. It's what I've been waiting to see for a long time.

i actually like how curvy and chubby Moeka is. she got the face that can pull it off. unlike haruppi or Meru who obviously looks kinda weird when they're chubbier.

and shes like the total opposite(appearance and personalty wise) of the diligent obedient traditional idol Yuiyui.

they are obviously setting up the next yukoacchan sasshimayu and jurinasakura competition.

and i am all for it.

    bring it on reiwa akb!!!

I understand that she needs to balance everything out and she can't really go hiatus because of her hype, but not even once or twice in months? With how she appeared in a lot of media, anywhere except the theater, I hope people wouldn't wildly speculate that she thinks she's above theater stuffs.

Single-wise, I'm looking at the tracklist again and I just find it sad that we only get two MVs in the DVD. SGs usually only have two MVs too, but they usually slip in some members' activity video and concert footage, kinda wish they do it instead of keeping the free space of DVD wide open like that.

Except that JurinaSaku, NEVER WORKED, lmao.

Sakura could care less about Jurina, while Jurina was so obnoxious *watch last SSK.

YuiYui and Moeka seems so cool, Yuiri on the side with a bunch of new gens. It's sad but Yuihan, Yukirin, Jurina, the olds have to go. In order for a new reborn of AKB.

Hey Mister! Take it easy! [hehe]

I know it's not a popular opinion but I hope Miichan particularly but also the others don't leave until they feel good and ready. Miichan at this point has basically been in the group longer than she wasn't in the group and has devoted her life to it. If you watch the 2018 doc that Duburin recently translated, she talks about still being around how she struggles with not being sure what to do but how hurt she feels when people treat her like she doesn't belong. Surely she deserves more love than that from the fandom.
And, I've never been a big Jurina fan but she basically built SKE and saved AKB back in 2008. There is certainly criticism of Yuihan and Yukirin out there and some of it may be valid but I think it'd be hard to argue that they haven't been integral pillars of the group and still do a great deal to keep it from falling apart.
I do get what you're saying though I think, in order to make the group stronger we need the new members to stand on their own, but I think one of the best things about AKB is it's legacy and members not being given a forced expiration date or pushed out after a certain amount of time I think has a lot to do with building that legacy and keeping fans interested in being a big fan of a member.
Apologies for the rant, I've never been a good Miichan fan so sometimes I feel overly urged to defend her.
A YuiYui/Moeka rivalry would be neat.

Miichan is fine, she is not in senbatsu.
But the others, they take a qouta, and it's not that AKB needs the, AKB is strong by itself. Aachan left and it was fine, Mayu left and all it's fine. Sashi left, and I'm pretty sure this single will reach a million regardless.

Btw, when did Jurina save AKB? lmao good joke.

Reverse the names and I'm sure you'll find people agreeing to it as well ...

Too be honest ... I don't think all is fine ... I'm not with the 'the sky is falling and AKB is doomed' crowd ... but I think the consensus is that AKB is in a bit of a slump ... which is only normal after reaching all the goals they set themselves in the past ... once your on the top there is no other way then either balance there ... or go down ...
will they get up again, who knows ... but the current members have to deal with the giant shadows of the past like Acchan, Yuko etc. maybe they will, maybe they won't

and about including older members ... as long as they have way more marketing power than the new and upcoming members ... it makes perfect sense to stick them in there (in senbatsu)... even if it's just second or third row.

I guess, both of them don't care about each other that much, they are just colleagues at work. But I don't think that they have much chemistry and that made their double center and also flanking Techi in Dare no koto wo ichiban aishiteru so awkward. Management should not desperately try to set up that rivalry stuff again, as long as there are no candidates available. Moeka/Yuiyui feels awkward, too, since they don't interact much with each other, or am I wrong? (I had trouble following them closely, lately, so I just might not know). But they both have charms and I can see them both serving as a center for upcoming singles, if management just gives them more than one chance :flower:

Well, it isn't like Sasshi-Mayuyu was much of a rivalry either.

Problem is ... it worked so well in the past e.g. Acchan vs. Yuko ... the whole Sousenkyo is kinda based on this and the fans mostly just love the drama.
Btw ... those rivalries are imho mostly fan driven ... I don't really think Yuko resented Sasshii for her 'unexpected' first win

(ow, and I still think Moeka is overpushed ... and I think/suspect/am afraid there will be consequences)

I'm surprised to see that Hana is the second best seller at the moment (and would still be at 4th if Sakura and Nako were there). Maybe she is more popular than we gave her credit for? :fear:

She definitely didn't resent her. I remember Yuko crying tears of joy and grinning because the center pressure had been taken of her. She said how worried she had been, and how relieved she felt in that moment her name was called. She had wanted to graduate for a while, but Acchan announced it first (she had been thinking about it already back in 2012), and then Aki-P asked her to stay for a bit longer (she tells Takamina so in this Graduation Special). So I think she was relieved because someone else had taken first spot, which meant that she could graduate.

It felt more like Sasshi-Jurina to me. But even Jurina didn't stand a chance against Sasshi :^^;:

Mind you, the frikkin kirin actually appeared on PAJAMA DRIVE, a KKS stage no less recently :rofl:

Sorry, kind of want to unsee Moeka's duck face. [hehe] I mean...just smile without leaning forward please. Not that I don't like to see it, but...too much also not good.

Hmmm, wondering who will drop after 1st resale

It isn't surprising really. I think Hana has always been among the top of HKT in popularity. I remember she was doing great before she was given center. She was fairly popular for a new gen back then. It's just, perhaps, in comparison to what she has received now and the output she produces, it weighs more to former. Especially when it comes to AKB senbatsu and the tough competition for it. And well, there is also her SSK rank. But then again, it sure took some time for Nako and Miku to get where they were in SSK.

Kinda off topic but outside SSK, it felt like the "rivalry" after AcchanxYuko was MayuxJurina.

I like the idea of setting up a Yuiyui x Moeka duo with Okada Nana as the "Shinoda" to complete the big 3.
