Spoiler: Wall of text

2 months and 8 days after Jingu live, I get to see Reika again in the flesh in TDV.
I'm seated row 4 left side when facing the stage so I get to see more of Reika because her room is on that side. There were scenes that they pass by the middle aisle but not on my side, just some random vampires.
Overall it was a good play though a bit dragging at times. But none of Reika's scenes were boring because I'm biased,seriously her songs were good. Last part was dance performance, it was fun to watch, Reika really is a good dancer and seems to be enjoying being a vampire.
Special Curtain call, now I thought it was only on specific dates but no we did that too, glad I brought a red handkerchief for emergency cases lol.
After the play, like any ordinary person, I took the subway, so I went down to the basement for the Metro Hibiya, and there , people lining up! What could it be,ah Imperial theater's stage entrance. And of course I waited, Yamaguchi went out first, with 4-5 staff doing a human wall, he greeted fans hi fiving them all,cool guy though I find his singing annoying and a bit stiff in acting. Half of those waiting disappeared after the Yamaguchi appearance. I can see the door clearly, it's just in front of me. After 30 minutes or so there she was!
I was actually caught by surprise,I was looking at my phone so I didn't see her approaching.
Anyways she was surrounded by 3 women,probably bodyguards lol. Some girls called ,Reika! and she acknowledged, bowing slightly. And I was just looking haha.Oh so near, just an arm's length. She was wearing white shirt and mask. I cannot remember what color her pants were nor the color of her shoes. They went upstairs probably to a waiting getaway vehicle.

The song Outside is freedom kinda fits her pre/post Nogi life.
The lyric goes something like I want to see a much freer world, not here I feel suffocated lol.

That's my close encounter. And I missed my train stop so I have to take a longer route, perfect.

Interview with a vampire, Sakurai Reika about her 2nd PB

- Congratulations on your second PB. It has been 2 1/2 years since your first PB [自由ということ]

RS : It's surprising to be getting a second PB this fast but I am very happy.

- What did you enjoyed the most in Portland?

RS : The food there really were delicious. Most of the staff were women so our conversation goes something like this
[Today, where and what are we going to eat], we'll have girls talk at night, it was really fun.
Then that ice cream shop, we went there twice (lol). The first time , we went there for the photo shoot but it was
so good we went back for the 2nd time.

- What flavors did you have?
RS : Strawberry balsamic and salty vanilla.

- It's an unusual combination but seems tasty.

RS : It really was good. It seems to be a popular shop in Portland.

- Memories from the photo shoot.

RS : Last shoot, we went to this restaurant where I wore a black dress. After the shoot
I realized it was finally finished and felt so relieved that I cried.

- Was it also because you just graduated from Nogizaka46, might be some pent up emotions?
RS : Yes I think so.Without realizing it, this is my first opportunity after graduation.

- Were there difficulties during the photo shoot?
RS : Hmmm... Jetlag was bad.

- Were you nervous during the lingerie and bath tub shoot?

RS : I am not used to these kinds of shoots but it did not keep me from doing it.
Everyone made sure I don't feel nervous. It was surprisingly fine.

- Did you have any training just for this photo shoot?
RS : It may sound like an excuse but I didn't have time for training due to my tight schedule.
The shoot is sort of like a graduation travel that I went there with ease.

- Better to look natural.

RS : Just like taking a vacation.

- Beauty tips

RS : Soak in tub, sleep well. Use stretch ball to prevent body from becoming too still, it's important
to keep the balance for singing (stage play).

- During (play) practice as well
RS : If you stretch well enough, movement is really different.​

- When we look back at Sakurai-san's activities in Nogizaka46, Wakatsuki-san has a big part it in.
Last time during the interview with Wakatsuki-san after her graduation, she said [I apologize to Sakurai who's always paired with me/partner].

RS : I read that article! I thought, what the hell is she talking about (lol).
I never see it that way, far from it. Perhaps she likes me so much (lol)
Wakatsuki seemed to care when I do something. Not to be misunderstood but it's a competition (in a good way), it is something that is inspiring.

- Such a great relationship. I can sense the affection in those words.

RS : Both of us want to do acting, I consult with her a lot about work ,personal stuff, the future.
I really love working with people same as my age, that's one of the reasons I enjoyed activities in Nogizaka46.
Even until now, she still contacts me , like before work she'll message [This <work> starts today right? Do your best],
she's really a good friend.

- During Wakatsuki-san's graduation, you have not had the [Graduation party] yet, did you have it already?

RS : Not yet... We had this plan the 4 of us, the Girls quartet (Sakurai,Wakatsuki,Akimot,Nakada Kana)
but it seemed they already had it without me! [Reika seemed very busy since she didn't say anything]...
But I would have gone with them! (lol)

- You want to go next time!

RS : The next time when we 4 gathered , please think that we'll have that [Farewell party]

- ... [Graduation party] ? (lol)

RS : Ah, [Graduation party] (lol). Sorry ...It's that bad that you wonder if I'm really ok ...

- Relieved you're still the same. Thank you.

- About the title [視線]
RS : A lot were considered but they said I have very expressive eyes, thus the title.
Although I never really considered my eyes as such (lol)

- With this PB's theme, sexy adult, what to you is a sexy adult woman?
RS : It's the actions / behaviour rather than fashion, makeup. I admire those type
which I think I'm far from it.

- Recommended spot in Portland
RS : It's a small city with no major attraction, laid back that's why it's relaxing.

* The lollipop, according to Reika was very "American", that is, too sweet
* She didn't want to do a gag but at the end she did a little hop-step kara no whip pose

Sakurai Reika released her second solo photo book "Shisen" on 27 November 2019. The photo book sold 19,807 copies, and tops ORICON Weekly Gravure Chart.
