I'd gladly take "Give Me 5" as the title since the chances of it being something other than a boring ballad is bought up by 60% versus something with Sakura in it. lol

And it's genius, I can imagine the poor customer now...

Customer: "Hi I'd like to purchase AKB48's new single "Give Me Five"

Clerk: "Oki Doki! *brings out 5 copies*

Customer: "Oh no! I just want one Give Me Five"

Clerk: "Eh? I just gave you five, you want five more?"

Customer: "No! Just one!"

Clerk: "So just the one order of the five you have now?"

Customer: "... *sigh* just ring them up.

You can't tell me Akimoto isn't a genius.

Seriously, that could be a pretty decent way to go about things...

However.

I would think people in Japan would ask for their CDs in Japanese... XD Therefore the "Give me Five" problem when asking for copies would not occur... Maybe. =P

i am actually disappointed if this isn't a ballad, i think it's the only time of break we have before it's single after single of hyperness. Sakura single is something that i am really looking forward to and i hope we don't get any generic idol happy song.

Uhm,I really hope this single will ballad,like sakura no ki ni narou or sakura no shiori
AKB release 5 singles in a year,not always catchy or dance song,it's better if they have a ballad single

[hi] "Give me five" isn't official yet, they removed it & made it Untitled. But I really wish this single to be a ballad one, & I don't mind if it is a tears jerker type, AKB48 are great when they do a various genre of songs. those who like catchy & upbeat songs must wait, & those who like ballad songs must get what they want.
I hope the cycle will continue in 2012, like 2010 & 2011, because I like them when they challenge them self, & do a diffrent songs with the same theme.
but I wish that AKB48 will give us a traditional japanese song in AKB48's way.

not be in senbatsu this time

How would they know if that is the case though? I mean isn't that kind of thing only about as reliable as a 2ch rumor...? Or is there something behind those speculations?

It has to do with the rumour they are going to cut senbatsu down to 16nin.
That will be top 12 + Sayanee,Jurina, Yui + one out of Kitarie,Miichan and Kasai

Ah, "Sakura no shiori". The song is so beautiful, it moves me almost to tears every time I listen to it. I too hope their Sakura single will be a ballad, although "Give me Five" doesn't sound like it. But since that one might not be the actual title anyways, I'm keeping my hopes up.

And Rena? I love Jurina don't get me wrong, she is like my number 5...48 girl, but I'd rather see her in more SKE activities and leave both Miichan and Kasai in AKB senbatsu please.

Looking at their most recent show, Rena and Sayanee were present.

Most likely they'll keep Rena in and Sayanee.

Jurina most likely on her way out of senbatsu (which is good since you people don't like it anyways)

I think it's hard to believe that Jurina would be out of senbatsu. She's one of Aki-p's most favorite girls afterall. She is certainly not one of my favorite but she's growing on me, and I quite like her. I have no problems with Jurina in senbatsu since she kinda built up AKB's popularity since Oogoe as well, so she deserves her spot.

With that said, I still hope that instead of Kasai, Jurina would be out. Out of all the girls who might be out of senbatsu, Kasai really has nothing. Jurina has SKE - who is selling 400k/single right now. Kitarie has Not Yet, though she's the least promoted link - the best--selling sub-unit. Miichan has No3b with Takamina and Kojiharu - the two girls who aren't likely to get out of senbatsu until their graduation.

The fact that Kasai and Miichan are possibly going to be pushed out of senbatsu amazes me. I mean... are we supposed to see them in Under Girls next? Aren't they a bit over-qualified for that?
