I can start translating a few of them.

Spoiler: Kojima Haruna

I saw her do an onsen segment on Ariyoshi AKB Kyouwakoku when she was a kenkyuusei, and at the time she was thin and really beautiful. I thought she was a young Japanese beauty never before found in AKB48. That was my first impression. Now, she's a really good girl, and seeing her makes me feel at ease. She is therapy for me. Her way of laughing is cute, and I like her singing voice. One time, a temporary song for recording purposes was sung by Yui, and it was really good. I often say to other members "Yui-chan is cute", that's how much I like her. But I haven't told her. Although, I'm not really interested in her photobook (lol). I like the atmosphere when we're together, so photos aren't really... She's bad at gravure too (lol). In the past, she couldn't speak at all, but when she joined Not yet and went to NMB48, she changed a lot. She even substitutes for me on Ariyoshi AKB Kyouwakoku. She's grown so much that she's almost like another person, and I feel reassured when she comes on Ariyoshi AKB Kyouwakokou. I think Ariyoshi-san probably feels the same way. Although I think there won't be a successor to the First Lady (lol).

I've seen a short clip of that Ariyoshi onsen thing, and it looked soooooo awkward. She was incredibly thin, probably from the stress of traveling back and forth between Kyoto and Tokyo (I think Yui has mentioned this in an interview somewhere). I have to agree with Kojiharu about Yui's laugh and voice .

Spoiler: Kitahara Rie

Although Yokoyama wasn't a girl who stood out, I quickly realized that she was a good girl. When Chihougumi got together, we naturally became close. Even if she herself wanted to stand in the middle, she is able to work hard like a strong person in the background. She doesn't cut corners in rehearsals, and her professionalism is high. Even though she is a kouhai, she is suited to be a captain, someone I can follow honestly. When we started working together more in Not yet, I was surprised that she became more interesting. As expected from a Kansai native (lol). Nevertheless, she is very hot-tempered. Even when she isn't angry, she is strangely adamant; I hope she fixes that about herself (lol). More than a kouhai or comrade, Yokoyama feels like a friend. Our personalities are different, and our interests and things we like are different, but on the contrary, that's a good thing. I am relieved when I'm with Yokoyama. After the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, I was really scared and went to Yokoyama's house, and we spent all of our time together. In times of emergency, Yokoyama's face comes to my mind. We always spend each other's birthdays together. Although, I give her a present every year, but I have never received one from her. Not worrying about such a thing is very Yokoyama-like, though (lol).

YuiRie! I always thought it was interesting how Kitarie calls her Yokoyama instead of Yui-chan like most of the other senpai. But they're obviously close; I remember how happy they were to be named captain and vice-captain of Team K.

Spoiler: Nagao Mariya

Really straight bangs, always holding a suitcase, she must have come from some other part of Japan - those were my first impressions. In the beginning, we were both in the group of poor performers at the very back; I couldn't dance, but Yokoyama also couldn't dance, so we had this feeling of fellowship. At the first Request Hour, when the kenkyuusei sang Tanpopo no Kesshin, Yokoyama and I were the only ones left out... recently, when we sang Tanpoopo no Kesshin at Tokyo Dome, it was very emotional to be able to finally sing that song in front of so many fans. I wonder how Yokoyama felt about it? Now, with Yokoyama on the same team and being captain... it feels somewhat strange. I don't say much regarding the team, but Yokoyama asked me, "Mariyagi-san, what do you think?" I am thankful that she pays so much attention to our needs. Because Yokoyama clearly says things like, this part is like this so don't do that, I am able to comprehend them. If I have any unhappiness or worries, Yokoyama is the first I tell. Even if she weren't captain, I would probably still consult with Yokoyama the most. That's how much I rely on her. Although, how fast she eats is a little... If there is food in front of Yokoyama, it disappears in the blink of an eye (lol).

YuiYagi! It's nice that Yui finally gets to be on the same team with some of her 9th gen fellows.

Spoiler: Yamamoto Sayaka

I think I first met Yuihan during recording for AKBINGO! in 2011. My first impression was that her way of speaking was cute and ladylike. Now, my impression is that she talks a lot (lol). I think what's amazing about Yuihan is how she is passionate about anything. However, her laughing voice is seriously too high... When we performed at NHK Hall on the NMB48 Tour, it was after Yuihan's kennin had ended, but Yuihan appeared from the center to perform Dazai Osamu wo Yonda ka?. That left a strong impression in my memory, as it did for the fans. Yuihan, let's go to Koshien together this year.

I loved that surprised appearance by Yui (I think it's this one). Everyone was so glad to see her!

Anyone know which episode of Ariyoshi mentioned by Kojiharu?

 

The interviews are so good!! I knew all the people interviewed are close to Yui bu I was surprised by Kojiharu's praises.
I don't remember seing much interaction between the two of them and I'm extremely pleased about her comment on Ariyoshi AKB!

I think I do understand KitaRie's comment. There are certain times where Yui's action make me question, won't that make her appear to be scary to her kouhai ? But watching the kouhais' subsequent response make me realize that they probably got used to Yui.

Spoiler: Minegishi Minami

I first met Yui when she is still a KKS in one of the handshake event. She is the same age as me, while we take a photo together with Oya Shizuka and Shimada Haruka, I thought "she's really pretty". I'm really happy when she came to Team K. I love the part about her where she's funny while being majiresu at the same time. She cares about her kouhai more than anyone, and she never troubles her senpai. However she tend to reserve her troubles and worries to herself, it's a problem when she break down. And, her laughter is really noisy. (laughters) By the way, when Yui joined her first MV recording as Team K member, we bath in a hot spring together. It was that time that she told me that her dream is to become a singer. When Takamina made a graduation album for Yuko, Yui and KitaRie told me "There probably isn't anyone else to do it when it's Takamina's turn, let's do it together." As I thought, Yui is a nice girl. I'm looking forward to the AKB48 built by Yui.

Spoiler: Sashihara Rino

My first impression of Yokohan is pretty. Nowadays, she's noisy, cheerful and funny. She's really funny in dressing room. Especially her "massage aru-aru" Although Sashihara and Kitahara are the only ones who understand the joke. (laughter) If there's anything I want her to improve...... Her voice can get real loud when she is excited. I hope she can improve on that. Recently, both of us went to a live of my favourite artist. Yokohan is gera, she can't stop laughing. (gera (probably) refers to a behaviour where you laughs at something even though it isn't very funny) There are too many episode about Yokohan I don't know where to start. Congratulations on your first solo photobook. You have a nice expression there on the cover.

Spoiler: Miyazawa Sae

I first met her during the filming of the last episode of Majiska Gakuen. I mistaken her for a part time actor from Fuji TV. (laughter) I started to know her after her promotion to Team K. While her appearance looks childish, she is really aware of her surroundings. While she still retain her "nice girl" image, she really become a really wonderful senpai. Yui is really earnest, she probably cares about others more than herself. However she is over self-reliant, it would be nice for her to rely on others a little bit more. I think 48 group will revolve around Yui more than it already is from now on. While I have a lot of memories with Yui, there's one that I still cannot forget happen during the senshuraku of Akimoto Team K before I left for SNH48. Looking at her crying non stop like a child really made me happy. Her MC is really really long, I think she realize it in Team K and turn it into her joke. And now she is the captain of Team K. It's touching to see her become a splendid girl. I love the Yui who is really passionate about everything she does! Let's stand on the same stage and do a MC once more ~!!

Spoiler: Takahashi Minami

The first time I'm aware of Yui is when she became Shinoda Mariko's under. There's a KKS who's really trying her best is what I thought. And she never changes the part about her that is earnest. Our personality is really similar, and Yui is much more clumsy than me. The Yui who is earnest in everything she does will sometime go overboard and make her stubborn, and there are times where this cause her effort to be wasted too. However this can be improve as she gain more experience along the way, and I'll watch over her as she did it without saying anything unnecessary. I always go out with Yui, basically we just ate a lot. (laughter) We jokes. And of course we talked about our works too. Since both of us are captain, sometimes we talk about our teams too. What is the current situation of our team and how we want it to turn out in the future, and we discuss about our worries. To me, Yui is a colleague, kouhai, and a friend. It's a strange relationship. I'm sure she will continue my will and wishes, so there isn't anything that I want to tell her.

I guess Yui's noisy and loud laughters when she is excited is a recurring theme here.
I mean it's not like I don't realize it, it's pretty evident if you listen to her radio like ANN and Listen.

^i know Paru once said never get close to Yui when she's angry(since their in the same gen so they are close with each other) but if even Miichan(who's actually her senior) said it's trouble when Yui is angry makes me wonder if Miichan has actually seen it and exactly how scary Yui is when she's angry

What Miichan actually said is that she worries that Yui always kept her own worries to herself, Miichan worried that Yui will break down when she fail to hold it in just like last time during her concurrency in NMB48.

 

Wow, all these little interviews are really great... very insightful. Thanx for translating them. I'm really curious now what her Yokoyama Team A members like Kawaei, Ryoka, Juri, etc. will have to say about her since their perspective might be a little different from the old/mid gens.

Spoiler: Kawaei Rina

My first impression of Yokoyama-san is "a girl who gave her all when dancing". And that hasn't change since then. She gives her all no matter the task. I've always thought she is just a girl who is serious in everything, but she is unexpectedly funny when I'm with her, she is great at switching between funny and serious. She truly cares about her kouhai, I always consult with her whenever I'm worried about something. Whether it's work-related or my private problem. I'm really appreciate her help because she will always gives her honest opinion. However she hate to lose, or rather she has great self-confidence. We are similar in this way, so there are times where both of us won't back down and ruin the atmosphere. It often ends with none of us backing down but both of us laugh it off while saying "we fought just now....". (laughter) On my birthday last year, she had to work until 10pm, but she took the taxi right after she finished her work and went to my house while carrying a cake. It's a touching surprise. I really like Yokoyama-san. Let's celebrate my birthday this year too.

It's not usual for members to mention the time they fight.
So this a really interesting piece from Ricchan.
I guess at this point we can tell that Yui can be pretty stubborn sometimes.

Spoiler: Tano Yuka

My impression of Yokoyama-san is kind, and great at taking care of other people. I first thought she is serious and not very playful, but she is very approachable and always brighten up her surroundings. (laughter) Especially when she is together with Yamamoto Sayaka. Their compatibility is so great that I always thought "Are you guys some comedian duo ?". Their combination of tsukkomi and boke are almost perfect. (laughter) As a captain, she thought of every members as an individual; if she found their strength, she will give them a push from the back or showcase them in front. Since she is standing on the same perspective as everyone else, the relationship in the team is great, it's easy for us to do what we want. In the past, I'm a problematic child who troubles the adults, I've changed after I met Yokoyama-san in Team A. She would notice it if I'm troubled, and offer her consultation, that allows me to showcase myself without worrying too much. Which is my I'm really grateful of Yokoyama-san. I want to be a captain. I want to be a person like Yokoyama-san who is able to take care of others while fulfilling her own dream at the same time. While I'm preoccupied with my own goal right now, I wish there comes a day where it is my turn to support other members. The Yokoyama-san who change me in a positive way is my mentor.

I admit I still see Tano-chan as a kid right now,
but I look forward to the day she grow into the kind of person she aspire to be.

Spoiler: Oshima Ryouka

I first met her in one of the Team K performance as a KKS, I thought she is kind. I've heard from others that she take cares of kouhai, and it turns out to be true. Since we are in different team right now, there aren't many chances for me to meet her, but when we did, I always go "Yokoyama-saaaaan". I think it's really impressive that Yokoyama-san does not become neglectful regardless of the task on hand. She takes her greeting properly, and she's always the first one to start cleaning, she is a great example to us kouhais. Ah, but she is troublesome when she is strangely excited. (laughter) There are times when she is very excited, her words become convoluted and I've no idea what she is talking about. I've always replied her with a simple "haha" when this happen. (laughter) But this is also why I like her. There's a certain time where my kouhais were in great stride while I'm being stagnant. I seek advice from Yokoyama-san. She gave me a sincere response, and listen to my worries; it cheers me up and gave me courage. Though we did not talk about the team when we are on the same team, but now we did talk about each other's team. But we never went for a meal together, let's do it next time!

I can definitely understand Yui getting way too excited.
I guess if you want to get a feel of what Ryouka is describing,
the backstage footage from NMB48 (can't remember the source) featuring Yui, Sayanee and Rikanyan is the perfect example.

Spoiler: Kojima Mako

My first impression of Yokoyama-san is that she is cat-like. (laughter) When we were placed in the same team, I found that she is really kind.... I finally understand why a lot of the kouhais love Yokoyama-san. She is very aware of her surroundings, and she never change her attitudes regardless of who it is that she is speaking too. She is really playful when it's time to be playful, but very serious when it's time to be serious. She will properly remind us when we become lax during the rehearsal before the tour. If I were to say Miichan is like a mother, then Yokoyama-san is like an elder sister. She is a very approachable captain. If there's anything I want her to improve...... she eat too fast. (laughter) You won't be able to eat anything if your seat is in front of her when we go to Yakiniku. I think she do realize that, she will often says "I'm eating too fast" before starting. Recently, I went to Yokoyama-san's house together with Paruru-san. I was planning to play with her cat, Bisu, so I'm shocked to find out that Yokoyama-san and Paruru-san fell asleep almost immediately. (laughter) Even when she came to my house to play, she will fell asleep just before the climax when watching a DVD. (laughter) Yokoyama-san is really earnest, so I thought she might reserve her worries to herself, I wish she could rely on everyone else more. Everyone will support captain!

Yui eat fast. Now that's a fresh piece of information that I didn't know.
But I guess that does fit into Yui's personality.

Spoiler: Takahashi Juri

Yokoyama-san is really kind but we're probably not compatible with each other is my first impression. However, when we were in Team A, we became really close before we realized it. She showed me various facet of her personality and I'm able to be myself in front of her. She really cares about her kouhais and she is great a socialising. I've always seek advice from her. Now that my kouhais is increasing, I think I should be more mature. She really support me during the times in Yokoyama Team A. Every time I cried before a stage performance, I was hugged by her then only I stand on the stage. (laughter) I've always troubles Yokoyama-san by crying for some weird reasons. But it's usual for others to rely on her like this too. Yokoyama-san is unexpectedly impatient. When we're eating Shabu-shabu, I want to take it slow, but Yokoyama-san dive straight into drinking the soup. The meats are gone in a short moment. (laughter) And her voice can get real loud when she is excited. It is embarrassing when her voice made an echo in the restaurant. (laughter) If Yokoyama-san ever graduate, I'll probably follow her and graduate too. So I'll never let her graduate !

This comment showcase more about Juri if anything.
Juri is really great at expressing herself, and the comment showcase her sensibility side more than anything.
Her last statement is really sweet albeit probably a little heavy.

 

The song is great!!! I thought the preview was a little bland, but it doesn't do justice to the full version. It's catchy and sweet, just the type of song I wanted for them.

I was expecting this 4 pages to be some usual question ask by a magazine, turns out that I'm wrong.
While there are some old stories about Yui that was told a long time ago, I think they are worth translating for the new fans.
Also, some of the responses that Yui gave here indirectly provide insights into her various action as told by other members in previous interview above.
I'm loving this issue so much~~~

Meanwhile, the YuiParu song is definitely a full blown yuri song.

Thank you for translating the BOMB interviews! It's always interesting to find what impression members leave in one another, we also learn new things and get to know them better.
I love Yui's photos from the new album, probably my favorites. I'd say the camera loves her too, she is extremely photogenic. Not simply a pretty face, but one can also sense the layers of her personality while looking at her photos or videos. The impact of her presence is amazing! This makes me think she could be a very good actress one day too. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her MG4, so far, so good.
I'm a bit late to comment about her captaincy, but when it was announced, I thought there isn't anyone better for the position. At the same time I get that this extra work might be in conflict with her growth as artist, but I rather be possitive and think this will help her more than the opposite. I wish her all the best .

Good news about Irodori Nikki: the next episode is being broadcast tomorrow! They finally updated the show's website today with info about the new episode; it will be about New Year's celebrations in Kyoto. I was getting a little worried because they usually tweet some offshots up to a week before the episode airs, but there hasn't been anything since the previous episode.

And some GREAT news: Yui is getting a solo DVD/Blu-ray! The title is "Yuihan's Summer Break ~Kyoto Irodori Nikki~", and it will be released on March . It contains making-of footage of the photobook and special footage from the Irodori Nikki show. It also comes with a booklet of Yui's picture diary from the show.
