First screening (document): Those who have passed will be contacted by November 20, 2023 (Sun). Second screening (online): November 25 (Sat) to November 26 (Sun), 2023. Third screening (interview): December 2 (Sat) in Fukuoka, December 3 (Sun) in Osaka, December 9 (Sat) in Sapporo, December 16 (Sat) and 17 (Sun) in Tokyo. 4th screening (singing and dancing): January 20 (Sat) to January 21 (Sun), 2024. Final examination (interview): January 27 (Sat), 2024. Qualification requirements: - Those residing in Japan. - Women who are not affiliated with a production company and who are between the 6th grade of elementary school to 19 years old as of November 19, 2023. - Those who can participate in the second and subsequent screenings. - Those who can appear on TV, WEB, and various other media during the selection process. - Those who can make an affiliate contract at the time of passing this audition. - If you live far away, you must be able to move to Tokyo and live in Tokyo immediately after passing this audition. - Those who can go to the AKB48 theater on a daily basis after passing this audition. 17th is a versatile group, good mix of genki, performance, and kokko charm 18th is a polished group with a couple of outstanding performers 19th can focus on long-term development so i predict loosely a dozen members comprising a pair of grade schoolers, 6-8 middle schoolers, and 1-2 high school leaders Focusing on youth may not be a good idea at this time but it don't think DH and AkiP can resist injecting new blood into the team or lose to the young KkS in the sister teams
Although not a fan of already adding a new generation, I can understand why DH does this. But as every time, I'm praying for a smaller Generation. Quality beats quantity!

What do you mean by "fisher" and "kusogaki"? I can't understand these words. Do you have examples of them?
Kusogaki literally means shitty brat. A member is usually refer as that when they act and behave like a shitty brat. They are usually young. For example Oshima Ryoka (named by Yukirin itself) Fisher, Tsurishi in Japanese. Milky, Suda Akari were famous tsurishi members. They catch the fans acting cute and that kind of stuff to lure them. I don't know how to define this better sorry
@xabizalla96 already explain it Fisher is a member who likes doing fan service (like blow kiss, wink, ect) to win some fans. The famous fisher from 48G are Milky and Suda. Oonishi in her pre-short hair era was also a fisher. kusogaki is a young member who is annoying and doesn't scared talking bad (just joking intent) or teasing the senpai. The most known member who has this character was Yabushita Shuu, the young Miho and Oshima Ryoka.
Yahagi Moeka had a big reputation as a fisher which as I’ve mentioned before I had some personal experience of back in 2018, but that same year I also received strong fishing at an STU Theater-type show when member Hyodo Aoi made a lot of effort to catch my eye presumably as I was the only ‘gaijin’ in the audience. At the send-off afterwards she was smiling a lot at me as I went past and I would have stopped and talked with her if that had been possible. I’ve followed her online ever since and maybe one day I can have a proper HS with her.
Assuming 19th gen will debut on April 2024, 15th gen never experienced AKB with Maeda Atsuko. Team8 & Draft1 never experienced AKB with Itano Tomomi. Draft2 never experienced AKB with Oshima Yuko. 16th gen never experienced AKB with Takahashi Minami. Draft3 never experienced AKB with Watanabe Mayu. 17th gen never experienced AKB with Minegishi Minami, Yokoyama Yui. 18th gen never experienced AKB with Okada Nana. and finally 19th gen will never experience AKB with Kashiwagi Yuki. Two days ago at Jan 20, 19th gen audition's 4th screening have ended (singing and dancing test). The only one left is the Final examination (interview) on January 27 (Sat), 2024. Some (failed?) applicants have given hints and info of the audition: Please treat these as RUMORS and take with grain of salt I'm just translating this for fun in speculation and guessing. ---------------------------------------- "Lots of Kawaii girls totally on different level so I might fail this one!" "Look forward for 19th gen members!" There is a girl who is slightly famous at the audition? The question was asking if that girl was possibly planted and guaranteed to pass. The applicant answered a few more questions about 19th gen audition! "Were Kayano Shinobu and Akimoto Yasushi among the judges?" --> "Shinobu-san was there, but Akimoto-san was not!" ----------------------------------- "How many people participated in the Singing&Dancing exam?: ---> "Some people might not came, but the entry number (assigned number) was from 101 to 148!" That means about 48 people came for the 4th screening. ---------------------------------- "For the 4th screening how was the age range of participants? Were there cameras documenting the event?" "Yeah cameramen were everywhere from reception to waiting room, etc. Lots of small children so the age range was pretty wide! But in my own observation the most I see is around 3rd year of middle school to 2nd year of highschool." (note: she didn't really ask, only her assumption from what they look like) Depends on how the sisters interact with each other though. We struck gold 2 years ago with the no-sweet Mutou Sisters and the overly-sweet Satou sisters showing both extremes. (tbh they exaggerated it a lot lol, Tomu cares a lot for Orin in her own way and Aichan was rather mild toward the siscon Kiichan )
If so, the oldest possible member of this generation would be a baby when the first AKB48 audition was held. The youngest possible member would be younger than UZA and 21 years younger than Yukirin.

Just noticed that 17 and 18ki had age limit of 20 years old by the time of audition, but 19th audition limit is 19 (lol). That means the oldest we'll have are 2004 girlies for this gen. Or late 2003 girls who were still 19 at the moment of audition ofc
