Ok my thoughts on the senbatsu: I'm super happy that they included 3 members from 17th gen! I expected Airi and Yukinee but I'm surprised for Sorara, and I'm sooo happy, she really deserves it, she has the looks and the skills. I almost thought management forgot her but now they gave her THIS. Being in senbatsu, wow. Congrats!

As for the rest, I'm a bit sad that Maho is in 3rd row now ;_; I thought she's been doing so great last year and that they would give her a better position. But either way this is good. and also... I always say I want Yuiyui to get another center single but I'm starting to think that the chances for it are super low... I'm a little sad about that.

I like the preview picture with the uniforms (where the first row has the dark uniforms), these outfits look good and the girls look pretty! it makes me wonder what kind of song it will be. Personally I prefer if it's not too much of a dance-focused song. Let's see!

Still no Remi? Are we gonna hear a graduation announcement soon? I don't get why she couldn't have a senbatsu debut after all those push last year?
I'm surprised at Sorara, I thought Mizumin had better chance to be chosen and poor my Erichan.
And yes Yuiyui deserved another center position. She is the face of the group now, isn't she?
With Hiichan center and the seifuku with paints, this definitely another dance song, no doubt about that.

I am hoping for a happy, classic AKB sounding song with a dance focus
I have faith in the possibility of a cute song that also has a killer dance.

The school uniform-ish looking outfits combined with Hiichan having brown hair in that gives me hope for a more classic song too.

Congratulations to Sorara and Yukinee's first senbatsu, I'm so glad to see that management seemed to try pushing the latest gen equally and not just focusing on one member (looking at you 16th gen, It's a bummer that Zukky is still the only one :().

I'm a bit surprised that out of the 17th gen Erichan and Mizumin did not make the cut, but I saw someone brought up a point that the former is still a minor and seeing that Aichan and Sorara, being 18 years old, are the youngest members in senbatsu I think it seems plausible (though it did not explain Mizumin's exclusion, but oh well).

And finally the fact that they insist on making the senbatsu 16-nin (and taking Miu off the list) just feel off to me.

Congrats to Yamazaki for her first senbatsu!
But, as some said, Shitao not included surprises me! Also no Megu, shame!
That they're excluding Okada was obvious to me, she's going to graduate soon, so why adding her to the new single? Hope she will get a nice grad song, she deserve a banger send off!

On the one hand, I'm glad that there are three 17ki in senbatsu, not even a year after they debuted. I remember back in the day, many KKS just got into the group and had to face the unmovable wall that was senbatsu (and the official UG, if we're honest). Many graduated without having achieved much, so it's nice to see management giving the girls a chance from the get-go.

On the other hand, neglecting the 15ki and 16ki feels wrong. Komiharu, Megutan, Seichan... they should be staples already. Manaka is a captain? Orin could inherit some of her sister's fans? I don't know, I feel like they could have included them and go back to 21-nin senbatsu if they wanted. Even if 16 is The AKB Number or whatever and girls past the second row barely get any screentime.

    Meh @ the center.

Naachan is (and will be) missed.

i noticed yuiri is the only one with a visible letter on her uniform. probably doesn't mean anything, though, right?
as much as i would like for this look to be the look for the song, it's probably gonna be the white costume one mostly, if not only, or? i mean, not only are the costumes very different, but several of them have different hair colors and styles. i mean, it's possible, but i think the first image is from when they filmed the mv and the other one is possibly taken weeks later. but the uniforms returning would make me happier.

    she's saving her energy for oo48 :x

Her Twitter post doesn't hint at graduation though and I believe she'll take part in OO48. It's just inevitable for some people to be left out when they add newer members to senbatsu, I'm sure if it was 18-nin senbatsu she would totally be in.

Ooh, they announced it two months before release. Normally I'm used to announcements 6-8 months before release, if you remember Sustainable... & all the following singles kind of.
Honda fits as a center for those kinds of aesthetics the most imo.
I'm glad they included Onishi. Since Oderi has got longer hair I'm becoming a big fan of her too. It suits her face more.
I was hoping for Hatakeyama Nozomi, Kohama Kokone & Ota Yuki to be the new gen aces tho.

I predicted that Shitao wasn't selected for one reason: remember when I told you that the MV was probably shot around the 14th and 15th? On the 15th there was a Team B performance in the afternoon without any expected senbatsu member, but Shitao had a solo event in the morning. That was very sus.

I tried to see if the slots gave any indication of possible eito graduations in April but I came to no conclusion.

Naachan's gradcon is on April 1st, her theatre graduation stage is probably about to be announced as well... I doubt she'll still be in the group by the end of April, when the single gets released. Also, with how quiet management has been about her (no mention about her on TV shows, no promo for solo tour, they didn't even produce the gradcon), I doubt they will include her at all.
