Edit: not only are team 8 good at singing and dancing as a group, I like how they also dominate at all the sports meeting (except for last relay one where they drop the batton). That's so cool especially since I've played and watched sports my whole life.

I was surprised how fast Sakaguchi Nagisa run since she look so idolish haha. Definitely made me interested in her more. Yokomichi Yuri and Kondo Moeri are mvp though.

Wow, Yuiyui is definitely going strong this year!
I can see the Tokyo girl outranking Nagi this June, earning herself a spot in low Undergirls or even better, while Nagi can move up to Future girls/ Next girls.
Whereas, much as I love her, Naru won't even be in top 80, and may end up crying in frustration seeing her fellow teammates' names being called.
And our Holy Trinity will no longer exist because it will then be known as the Holy Duo

 

@naruu99, it's the opposite really. Naru fans are still hyped and going strong this year. The one that's in deep trouble is Nagi. If there's one that can rank besides Naru and Yuiyui right now is Berin. The Holy Trinity exists in paper only, because the current top 3 in popularity are Yuiyui, Naru and Berin.

Looking at this makes me wonder, why Serika still yet being the next big thing from Team 8.
She has the look, can dance and sing pretty well, came from Osaka which has big population to be her fanbase, always in the front line and sometimes center position, has classic idol image, popular with fans with good attitude, get a little push here and there. But it seems she stuck at Team 8 front row. Just like Mayuyu when there is still Maeda, Yuko, and Shinoda around.
I think she is somehow underutilized, I personally think she has what it get to be as popular as Oguri. Never did handshake with her, I might want to if I have the chance again. Is she not as good as Yuiyui in HS booth?

I think it is training camp for the 3rd anniversary, is there any big AKBG event around this time (beside SSK)? Kojimatsuri maybe, but I doubt it because it is very early and most of them still at school, not yet on holiday season. Wondering what is at stake this time. Looking at SSA concert, Ayane center nearly every important song. Did she get it because she is from Saitama or she did something in the training camp.
Interesting to see if Kyouka was there along with new members from 2016.

 

@SunnyHighland, Yuiyui is the consequence of too many things gone right.

The 20K gimmick that worked. Those two guys fighting in her lane that had more than a million views. Renacchi. This associated to her character lead to the current Yuiyui. And when you have a lot of people saying that one girl is good you get curious and check her, thus creating even more people saying that she's good.

Let's say that the 20K gimmick never happened. Even if she was cute, even if she had become popular, it wouldn't be like it is today. Yet, if she had the 20K thing but she wasn't cute enough... almost no one would buy it.

Serika didn't have anything like that. And she's not the only one. There's also the way that Yuiyui acts that teases some fans, while Serika is more of a normal girl.

Yeah, that changed a lot...

Why if I can have castella?

The local girl is always the star. Last year was Ranrii. It's just like any other of their concerts or tours.
