yes. she conversationally fluent in English (imo, this is greater than just vocab and grammar fluency) . she shared with me over handshakes that she has visited the US-California before but i don't know if she lived here.
Link (mogu mogu time) First showroom in a while! Talked about her piano performance at harucon (amazing btw). Always wanted to show off her piano skills for a long time now. Knows the emotional impact of the song so she practiced alot to convey the right emotion. Apparently she was asked to play the piano by the staff not that long ago and she thought she couldn't say no During a recent sokomira stage, she had to sub in for Stoic na Bigaku and had to learn this unit fast! You can really count on her to sing or play any song Happy that she finally got close enough Sato Airi and can call her aichan now (she did post a pic with her the other day) apparently for a while she was saying aichan-san she's pretty hungry right now so she pulled out her chicken from 7/11 and started snacking. She started discussing with chat about their fav foods. Sae mentioned she likes tomato sauce pasta, carbonara, genovese pasta (i have no idea what this is) seems she loves nearly all kind of pasta. she just started naming a couple other kinds of pasta... talked abit about the u20 mv filmingg. she gets along very well with Remi! However since she is a kks, she don't have her cell phone with her to take pics So remi offered to take pictures together! She calls her Remi-chan (she apparently used to call her remitan-san lol) nice new friends. she mentioned filming with remi during the u23 mv that she centered. this has been a budding friendship! She wants to get along with 19ki. Just filmed nemousu with 19ki but didn't talk to them much... (she has since posted 2shots with meimei and kawayui in mail ) mentions how shy she and hinano were... well they will have plenty of time to get along for when they practice and go on tour! she says she can cook a little! she can follow a recipe... normally (lets get some kks cooking show!!) She participated in HADO for the first time recently... and lost . she wants to practice and get better. got some muscle pain from it lol during pose time, she showed off the pose she learned from yui during the marumaru akb (btw how cute is her hair today right?)
She told me in an online talk that she once visited London with her family but I don't think she's ever lived abroad. Although her English is very good she doesn't seem to be confident about it and she looked a little happier when I spoke Japanese for part of the last talk I had with her. I'm starting to like Saechan a lot, not just because she can speak very good English, but also as an entertaining and talented member of 18ki. I've got 3 in-person talk tickets for her on 4/27 in Yokohama but recently I'm wishing I'd bought more, however based on past experience there'll probably be at least a couple of members I've got tickets for who'll be absent so if that happens I'll 'oshimashi' them over to Sae. I'll also see Sae again on my trip on 5/3 when I've a ticket for HADO DAY 10 where she'll be in Team Believe with Mayuu and Azu. I went for a ticket in the 'DD' seats as I wasn't sure who I'd be supporting (Komi won't be there this time) but I think it's highly likely now that I'll be supporting Team Believe.

According to the description of this level (https://www.eiken.or.jp/eiken/en/grades/grade_p1/), it doesn't look like something that can be achieved with the sole academic path of a japanese high school student. I think she must have her parents who are familiar with international interactions (she can even speak some words of french, and with a decent accent here too !). Regardless of her talents in english and french, I'm more and more interested in her. I really start to like her, she's entertaining.
In this new episode of AKB Member relay, Odaeri is the host and requested Sae to be her guest! Someone that odaeri wanted to talk to for a very long time! When she first saw Sae, she was the only one with short hair (type of girls that oda likes). Her fans also told her that sae looked similar to her so oda was was always curious about her. Sae always wanted to talk to odaeri too but she thought this was a one sided kind of thing! didn't think she would get picked so sae is so happy. This is really the first time they talked one on one! Oda asks what does sae do in her private time. Sae say she doesn't do much but read books.. go out with her family and dog (citron) oda say she likes staying home too next is the member relationship diagram corner. the one oda made last ep with sora is still on the board so sae will add on to it. oda was shocked by sae old profile pic since it was before her haircut the first person sae adds to the chart is hinano. she is really close with hinano! (funny how close they got considering they didn't even talk to each other when unlame came together guess all the time together helped) sae considers hinano to be the closest member in the group odaeri recalls them always next to each other during harucon practice. sae says hinano and her are close and they are both debaters (?) they always debate with each other so much that yuichi always pop in and say "don't fight" an example sae gave is what to eat for dinner... like sae wants ramen and hinano wants chinese.. so they debate which is better... but they end up not going to either sae throws in that she usually wins!! next sae draws a line from her pic straight to oda with a heart! oda says make it a two way arrow sae adds maho to the chart! oda mentions its the first time she heard maho considers someone a kohai oshimen. sae notes that maho and hinano talk alot too due to their anime interests. sae says maho always take pics of her! next sae grabs aichan pic! sae LOVES aichan. so sae auditioned for akb after watching 17ki stage. she was so inspired from it! mega admire aichan!! for the last member, sae grabs remitan. so it seems they aren't friends yet... but sae wants to be they are getting a little close recently.. esp from the filming of the u20 mv... sae wants to improve the friendship in the future! next oda asks is there any members from other 48g she wants to get close with. sae loves HKT48... and mentions hana (she did post thoughts when she announced grad) next segment is a musical works from sae! sae answered in an earlier questionnaire that her hobby is musicals. oda formed this segment so that sae can introduce people to the charm of musicals which many people may not know about! sae liked musicals because of her family. they took her to musicals alot when she was young. sae never was in a musical before.. the first musical sae wants to talk about is the Phantom of the Opera, her fav musical! The story is very moving. it's kinda sad, but its a moving work. it has great songs too. she has seen it in Japan and in England next is Les Miserables. its a very famous and powerful work... it gives sae courage and makes her want to do her best! Last is Aladdin! she considers it a very beginner friendly musical that anyone can watch since many people area already familiar with the story. it has beautiful and colorful stage. you can enjoy it easily sae ended up singing a little bit of a song from les mis about falling in love with throwing oda lines in it fun ep! an unusual combo that we never see is always fun sae will host next ep and the next guest is... REMITAN! (putting the lets become friends plan into action)
Very special girl. An aura that's reminiscent of Acchan, topped with a soothing singing voice. Never thought I would find myself interested or even following AKB after my oshimen Yuihan's graduation, but here we are. Hope she goes far.
Link Sae had a showroom today first time in a while... to discuss recent events. Sae brought a pen to the showroom to write some notes... to see if anyone gives her any good ideas for handshake events outfits thinking about wearing a yukata in august for summer. can't do anything to crazy with her hair since she is still a kks. thinks her hair is too short for twintail.. cause of her bob. maybe add a ribbon or headband! Or maybe add an hair extension... (looks like she has many options in mind!) she pretty much settled on the hair and outfits for each date! Sae was once again not selected for senbatsu. I know she is in university now so I thought that will play a detriment but... masaru is in senbatsu so.. maybe its UNLAME holding management back ... I was also wondering was she too busy to audition for the upcoming AKB drama. Sae with her acting aspirations would've def nabbed a role. I mean, none of the other UNLAME members are participating either so wonder if they are just too busy with their "renewed" efforts of going all in on UNLAME... I don't like it Sae feels more kuyashi than last time.. it's powering her up to do even more to try to get in. She will grow more and hope that she can make everyone happy She still has a "positive" mindset! Her main frustrations is how much support she gets and can't reward her fans with good news... She worked hard during the last single and she knows its still not enough. No quitters here!

Link First time streaming in a while! She is wearing a summer outfit today because it so hot, very frilly and airy (cute!). The most important news she discuss was she was under for the senbatsu on TV for the new single!! The moment the stream started, chat was filled with congrats comments and compliments (I did do some egosa after the performance. notably I saw an nearlyjoy fan on twitter discover sae through the performance and became her fan. I checked back on his timeline a couple days later and he sub to her mail, won tickets to her theater stage, etc. so even it if it just made one new fan, nice job management ) she was naturally mega nervous for her first ever music show appearance, was helpful that azu and yuna were there too. As we know, she slot into Erii's position and she wore yui's costume. The dance was so difficult! When the senbatsu started learning the dance, sae was on the side and kinda tried to imitate it. Had about 3 days of practice, couldn't get much teacher help... so mostly practicing by herself. The senpais helped alot too! She looks forward to being senbatsu again one day (i give her -200 odds for next single ) apparently she was at unlame event and had to quickly run from there to rehearsal (they are still a thing? ). still has a tough time calling aichan with that nickname... sometimes still sue airi-san (slowly getting close). sae is in her 'talk to senapi as much as she can' era. she doesn't have much time to talk to them but tries to when they take pics together! Hiyuka is one the few senpai she can talk to easily with (unlame bond). apparently during lessons, sae's concentrated face is scary to the other members she is just LOCKED IN!! sae thinks its because of her eyes also talked a bit about her upcoming w-center coupling song (to me it's just another kks song ). it is also ending theme on the Hoshitele drama (how is sae not in there huhhhhhhhh ) It's a cute song.. with cute choreo.. apparently it also has a cute MV.. so you get the picture. doesn't want to spoil the choreo yet Looking forward to upcoming sokomirai performance. it's been so long since they did it so she needs to practice some more (it happened already. she had to miss it due to being sick though )
I had an online talk with Saechan on Saturday (I bought 5 tickets but it was effectively 7 as I won 2 signings from her). I asked her about her performance on TV Tokyo Music Festival and she confirmed that the dance was very difficult and it took a long time to learn. I told her that I enjoyed watching her and it was great to see her get a close-up shot, that she must be very proud of her performance and that she deserved to be in the senbatsu for the next single. As everyone knows she has a very big smile but after I said that to her it became positively enormous and I could tell that she was sincerely very happy with my comments which was so nice for me. I was first drawn to her because she spoke good English as indeed I became drawn to Misaki in NMB and Rikochi in STU because of their English skills but with Saechan I feel things are a lot different. Although I like both Misaki and Rikochi it's still really only their English speaking which interests me about them. However for me there's a lot to like about Saechan including her strong talent and her nice personality, and it's going to be very interesting to watch her develop within the group over the next couple of years. I think it's now time for me to make her my 'ni-oshi' (i.e. 2nd-favourite) in the group to replace Megu.
2024.07.08 "Who will you fall in love with today" performance. Nagano Serika Birthday. The "bob" wars have gone from cold to hot. things have escalated since kawayui (19th) joined. then Eriko, Yuiri, Manaka all went to bob cut. The MC topic on Serika's birthday was "I am AKB48's number one ______!" Sae boldly proclaimed that she is AKB48 number one bob-cut. shots fired
Sae had a short stream the other day. (hair is getting really long now, no longer in her bob era ) began with the sendai tour stop. lots of compliments to her famous jump picture . It even got posted on the official akb twitter. Members were excited about it too. Sae even saw the little edit with the wings glad she got to be in himawari unit, never did it before. she cutely chuckles remembering the little cube mistake letter setup practicing hard right now for the osaka units (which happened already, she is part of kono namida vocal unit) wanted to but couldn't drink the zunda shake.. got to perform on TV couple music shows as under, glad she getting alot of opportunity lately (next single senbatsu LOCKED in ) was very nervous for her first tv music shows but talking with senpai in the dressing room helped her relax her nerves! Learned a couple positions for koitsun. First she learned erii's position for TV (erii moved up to yui's front wing) and for the tour, she is in mahopyon's position. She also does the 8 member ver for theater. She is practically a senbatsu member loves the cute choreography for her w-center song yumemite gomen (best song in the single! ) Wants to do another karaoke showroom soon... (has it almost been a year now since her last one?
My two signed cards from Sae from the June online talks have arrived: The drawings on the backs are very nice but the roses are a mystery as I certainly didn't send her any - either it's some sort of strange joke or a case of mistaken identity!
