    Yeah, she's quite made it into Western Press. I just saw some TV news program talking about her. But they were hugely uninformed, as they mentioned how nobody had distinguished her from other members on stage (which stage? XD).

    And they kept mostly putting Heavy Rotation PV. Now everybody's gonna think that PV included Aimi or something :fp:

    ^ I thought the day AKB hit western press I'd be happy, but a lot of it is just poorly informed and terribly done...makes me think what else in the media is as off as these are.

    Makes us fan seem stupid even though most people picked up on it quite a while before it was announced :fp:

    It's kind of amazing to see all this~ especially on the UK newspapers websites.

    US LEGIONS OF FANS WERE SO SHOCKED TO FIND OUT OUR FAVOURITE POPSTAR WASNT REAL, THOUGH, WEREN'T WE???

    And I'm sorry by the way, what are their definition of 'sexy' anyway, 'sexy' like those in western PV with lots of reference to sex ???!!?? I always like Japanese PV because each PV is pure and beautiful. I hardly listen to any western song because those popular songs are just sex! I like AKB because of their PV, they're good PV (well, except for Hebirote one is a bit out of limit lol but who cares!!!) . OH BY THE WAY, SHOW THEM HEBIROTE PV AND SEE WHAT THEY THINK!
    My conclusion is if you don't know anything about AKB, shut your mouth!

    I'm not going to get all up in a tizzy, but shouldn't she feel sorry for the other "55" girls who aren't pretty enough to be part of Aimi?

    I still feel happy for AKB regardless of the people who have ignorant remarks. They accomplished so much already (including all the records they broke), and now they do something totally unexpected. All of the members who made Aimi must feel really proud because they are appearing on western media; even the members not included in making Aimi might feel special because foreigners recognized them as a group.

    It might be because I am biased, but it just makes the people in that video look very rude when they say "It is Japan! All they like are little girls!"

    Okay. um.
    So I am just sitting on the sofa watching TV. I was just sitting here on the sofa on my laptop, and my mum is watching TV and reading the newspaper, the daily telegraph (UK newspaper). And then I see the picture on the page she is reading...

    AND THERE'S AIMI.

    so my mam is like:
    "Did you see this?"
    me: "Eguchi Aimi"
    and shes like ...YES

    AND THAT MADE MY DAY.
    AKB ARE IN MY NEWSPAPER

    And the fact it said THOUSANDS OF TEENAGE GIRLS and not THOUSANDS OF OTAKU SALARYMEN kinda saved my life :DDD

    ^Yeah, I must wonder where/if they can get these pictures legitimately.

    I'm glad that article was actually factual, aside from the fact that we haven't heard her sing solo yet. And is that like a full page!? It looks like a giant space.
