[FAN PROJECT] Miichan 20th Birthday Messages

Hey everyone,

Miichan will turn 20 on November 15th.

Once again, I will be collecting birthday messages from fans on behalf of her Japanese birthday committee!


Message Cards

In about 250 characters or less, please write a birthday message (in English, Japanese, or Chinese), and send it via PM (or in an email to flagator21@gmail.com) to me along with your name and country. Multiple cards can be used if you exceed 250 characters that so don't worry about going over. I will be sending all of our messages to the Japanese fans represented by yonetaro-san. He and the rest of Miichan's birthday commitee will translate the messages and print them onto the cards. They will be presented to the theater staff and given to Miichan the day of her birthday show.

We encourage everyone to participate, Miichan oshi and casual fans alike. Please take a minute or two of your time to send Miichan your well wishes. It doesn't have to be a fancy message. Just a simple, "Congrats on turning 20", would mean a whole lot.

Optional...Foreigner-specific card design!

We would like to have a "gaijin" message card specific for the messages collected from overseas.

If any creative individuals would like to participate, here is what we are asking for:

1) JPEG format
2) Dimensions: 91mm x 55mm
3) No copywritten images/photos (You would need to design something like a cartoon or a hand-drawn design or logo)
4) Make sure the design leaves plenty of room to include the message & name and country fields.
5) Send via a link in a PM to myself, or attach it to an email and send to flagator21@gmail.com.


Due date is October 31st.


Last year, no specific overseas design was used, but here is the one that was used for Miichan's 18th birthday in 2010 (designed by Japanime_1)

It is possible to send those things to her, yes.

However, that is outside the scope of this project. I will only send data to the Japanese fans, nothing physical. You would have to mail anything like that yourself, sorry. If you need help, just ask

As i'm in Japan I will write a card at the theatre, but thanks for organising this with the Japanese committee again Was great to do it last year

I also have a present I need to write a letter for, been meaning to write it since May LOL

i would like to ask something
So i told few friends of mine about this and they asked whether they will also be able to send messages to Miichan. They weren't a member of Stage48

Just out of curiosity, if I wanted to send her something like a birthday card (a real one) with a handwritten note, would it be alright to send it to you? Should I PM you if I want to do this? Or is this digital images only?

karles: No flower arrangement collaboration this time unless Ogi Matsuri falls on her birthday. At this point, Ogi Matsuri '12 hasn't even been announced yet...

too much idea: Of course they can! This project is open to everybody/all forums. Either relay the message to me, or give them my email address [nod]

piyochama: As I was telling the_kaizar, I will only be sending the messages via email to the Japanese fans. Anything physical (letters, cards, presents) you must send to the theater on your own.

Even if it is not perfect translation, there is no problem.I'll support.

OOOHHH! I'll have to write something up. She was so flawless in DC.

I haven't been into AKB very long, but Miichan's become one of my favorite members.

most of them can't write english very well, i will told them to write the message in Indonesian before translating and sending them to you in english
