FYI it's only the last stretch to Nagasaki, when traveling from Hakata you need to change over at Takeo-Onsen.
They are still arguing over the connecting stretch from Takeo-Onsen to Hakata as the Saga prefecture does not see the benefit of investing of 240 billion yen for a minimal decrease in travel time while Nagasaki only invested 100 billion yen.
Furthermore history has shown pretty negative impact for towns on that used to be main lines when Shinkansen lines came available.

 

I don't think it was covered here at the time, but Myao met with Miyu at the 2022 K GLOBAL HEART DREAM AWARDS last August.
