^ What separates this incident with other member's incidents is that TGSK is the manager. Unlike for the past other member's incidents, speculations were isolated only into them specifically. But this time, it's different. People, especially those who do not anything of AKB48, will make bad speculations of the whole group. And that speculation is "that" which we're talking about. This is a nightmare for the group's image. I'm sorry if I sound too negative on this. I'm just frustrated of this incident right now.
You see, the average joe don't know who is TGSK and I don't think they really cares much about a report from Bunshun. It's a yellow press after all. Unless it is reported by a media with a much more legitimate standing, then only we have to worry.
Usually, I think AKB will put it under the rug. If nothing happens then it's not true. If something big happens then it is justified.
lol.. but they have solid picture proof that you really cant guve much excuse. please you are underestimating this kind of media.
I'm sure a legitimate media outlet has other things to report about than the personal life of an idol group's manager... I would definitely like to see management take an action about it, even if it's a slight one. TGSK is a visible figure for the fans, and I think he should be more careful with his image regardless of what the "truth" is.
Well, regardless of what happens, I've just seen Westerners in Japan who aren't fans talking about it on twitter, so expect it to hit all the "reporting weird stuff as fact" sites like sankaku, kotaku etc over the next few days... and then all your "interested in Japan but not in AKB" friends to start posting and bothering you about it shortly after... Dealing with that after the Miichan scandal was almost as bad as the scandal itself...
So no more info on this? I guess they'll ignore it. Or so I hope. I don't want to jinx it and have news about Togasaki withdrawing tomorrow when I wake up. Also... no news about the next documentary either. The last one was announced on October 22nd (2012) and was released on February 1st. I was hoping it would be a yearly thing. [worried]
Re: Miichan, Well that was down to management's discusting handling and youtube upload - genuine cause for shock articles. Don't think this will go far outside of Japan. Maybe if it was an affair with a member.
It wasn't disgusting the way management handled it because it's her own choice to shave her head. Neither AKS or Ogi Pro have anything to gain out of a bald idol and no idols that ever been in dating scandals went bald. Stupid is the more accurate description since they think there's no issues putting up a video of a bald girl crying her eyes out. But anyway yeah this is no where shocking as Miichan to be seen as a big deal. Everyone know how shady entertainment industry is and drugs, drinking, smoking is not a surprise. Also in western world, weed, or legalize herb in this case, is not seen as a big deal either. Maybe some people will pay attention because it have AKB's name attach to it but that's it. TGSK is not a celebrity, he's just a manager. Anyway it just depend how the management handle this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
TGSK posted on his G+ from the handshake event today "ThexGeneral Managers Room has ended just now!! See you again tomorrow." So he didn't rule himself out "due to poor condition" I bet he wasn't allowed outside for a quick smoke though
I suspect you got this graphic from some Tumblr, but better check your/their sources next time. Only a quick look tells me that there's something wrong with it. There's no way that MomoClo is the "tori" (finishing act) of Aka-gumi. That'd be a total catastrophy for NHK. The most important person for Aka-gumi - Wada Akiko - is missing from the line-up. And who is Mimura Kaori?
Most of the "listings" I've seen for it have Wada Akiko finishing up for Aka-gumi after MomoClo, hence seemingly missed off this list ... but they have all been secondary sources with no way for me to see if they are correct.
Yeah, there are noticeably a LOT of idol groups on this year. I wonder if we'll ever see a year when all 4 Japan-based 48 groups are invited to Kouhaku. That's a lot of 48 for a nationwide music program that's supposed to span all age groups. Granted, Johnny's has never been light on the offerings to Kouhaku so I guess 48s are kind of the female counterbalance. But then you add E-girls, Perfume, and MomoClo and it may as well be idol-fest. (Guess Kobayashi Sachiko really isn't coming back, huh? Bleh. I thought she'd only be out for one year.) That list also looks incredibly short to me (same with the japanese list I looked at earlier today). Is everyone who's going to be on the program already on that list? Maybe it just looks short but it'll feel long when they actually perform...
Hmm, I just quickly checked and copied that image because it is quite nicely done, noticing Momoclo at the end but only thought they don't keep the order. But it seems the creators messed up some names and translations. Sorry everyone about that. But for the idols part seems to be correct, LOTS of idols . Congratz to NMB. Here is the official page on NHK in case you want to read Japanese: http://www1.nhk.or.jp/kouhaku/artists/index.html And the translation (credit to tokyohive, fix the order between AAA and DREAMS COME TRUE for them) [Red Team] aiko (12) E-girls (1) Ikimonogakari (6) Ishikawa Sayuri (36) AKB48 (6) SKE48 (2) NMB48 (1) Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (2) Koizai Kaori (17) Godai Natsuko (20) Sakamoto Fuyumi (25) Takahashi Mariko (2) Tendo Yoshimi (18) DREAMS COME TRUE (15) AAA (4) Nishino Kana (4) Perfume (6) Hamasaki Ayumi (15) Fuji Ayako (19) Matsuda Seiko (17) Mizuki Nana (5) Mizumori Kaori (11) miwa (1) Momoiro Clover Z (2) Wada Akiko (37) ----- [White Team] Arashi (5) Izumiya Shigeru (1) Itsuki Hiroshi (43) EXILE (9) Kanjani8 (2) Kitajima Saburo (50) Chris Hart (1) Go Hiromi (26) Golden Bomber (2) Kobukuro (8) Sakanaction (1) Sandaime J Soul Brothers (2) SMAP (21) Sexy Zone (1) T.M.Revolution (4) TOKIO (20) Tokunaga Hideaki (8) Hikawa Kiyoshi (14) Fukuda Kohei (1) Fukuyama Masaharu (6) Hosokawa Takashi (37) Porno Graffitti (12) Miwa Akihiro (2) Mori Shinichi (46) Yuzu (5) Linked Horizon (1) The host will be Ayase and Arashi in cases anyone is curious.
AKB48 performed with ASEAN artists at the ASEAN Japan Music Festival. One of the performer, Christian Bautista, a great singer from my country, Philippines, posted some pics of them. From his instagram: http://t.co/r1DcPYTJ4W Here's the official(?) site of the event: http://asean-japan-musicfestival-eng.jimdo.com/
Takamina always looks scared when she's around people she doesn't know. Same happened with 1D. Yuko tries to go all out though.
What are the chances AKB's anniversary theater performance gets streamed? And I'm guessing no warm up Kohaku event like years past? Seems like they would've announced it by now.
You mean streamed on DMM? They streamed HKT's anniversary performance earlier this week, so maybe the chances are good?
There will be a live broadcast from the theater during AKB48's 8th anniversary on AKBSHOW! on Dec. 7th. http://akb48matome.com/archives/51904696.html
