^ After seeing these videos, I feel like they're planning to make Ibuki/Kurutan as the next double centers of the group, or Nanachan... Maybe not for the next single, if it's released at the end of the year, it could be a Nappi center (for her graduation) but if they don't do that, I definitely think the next single center will be either a double center of IbuKuru or Nanachan solo. Both options are good for me (and hopefully both of them will happen eventually) so I look forward to when it will happen!

 

Watching the summer concert (which was great btw), I also got the feeling they are putting Ibuki, Kurutan and Aichii in the front a lot. It's like they want to give 5th gen a last try before going strong in the 6th gen (I can see half of them becoming senbatsu regulars tbh).
No shade to 5th gen girls, but it always seemed to me they're kinda of a "lost generation". I mean, Kudoharu, Rimika and Kaede leaving so soon, they also had the pandemic hitting before I thought I actually knew them... such a shame.

(A quick Google search suggests that these are a type of bun normally filled with red bean paste but in Kumamoto they use white beans.)

 

Ah I kinda noticed it for Aichii too, maybe they want to make her the future captain/leader of the group?

I only got to know Kudoharu after she was already graduated, but I saw her when I watched an old theater performance and she was so cute ;_; it's such a waste that she graduated... Same for Kaede, she was my favorite in HKT along with Nappi. Her graduation was so sudden :/ and Rimika too although she wasn't in my favs. 5th gen weren't lucky. But I'm glad that Kurutan and Ibuki stayed, that's why I think they deserve a double center single once. They make a nice pair, it would be cute ^^

I have to agree with you about 6th gen though, they're just great and a majority of them could become senbatsu (and I would want to see it happen right now tbh!). and while I think it would be nice for IbuKuru to get a center single soon, I hope Nanachan can center after and actually have more than one center single. if they can make her kind of a fixed center... and maybe give a chance to other 6th gens to center every now and then. it would be great!

I'm pretty sure the promotions of Eguchan and Reia are a sign that they're joining senbatsu next single. For Zawachan, even if she was promoted as well, but she was already senbatsu, together with Nanachan. So now we'll probably have 4 of the 6th gens in senbatsu! and there are actually a lot of free spots in senbatsu because of all the graduations... tbh I hope they could have more than 4 members of 6th gen in senbatsu. I really like Saaya and I want her to be included even if she's still KKS >.< They did it for Zawachan so it's possible.

Ikuno Rina, one of the 4 youngest members in 6th gen (the KIDS ) turned 13 yesterday, and she got her own Twitter account now! Before this, along with the other 3 young members, she was using the past 6th gen KKS account which is managed by staff probably (I mean, they'll probably still check her tweets even in her individual account, she is still very young >.<). Lots of new social medias for the 6th gens these days, it's nice ^^ I guess the others will also get one when they'll turn 13 (still 2 years for Yuina XD). Ikunochan's Twitter account now is:
