More promotions please , make Suu-chan a member of Team M and Gravure Business Manager of NMB48 (which seems to be the group that does the most Gravure to me)

Aww crap. NMB are really haemorrhaging members, aren't they?

 

Eh, from the point they grabbed 10+ girls from draft 3, some NMB veteran members must have guessed correctly that fans only want new girls. Then 6th gen audition.

I would quit my job too if I don't feel wanted as well.

 

Are those girls really more popular than the graduating girls though? Ok, so Suuchan and Momoka seem to be doing really well but I'm not sure if the majority of the young girls are outselling the majority of the old gens...

Also, we've had plenty of popular girls announce graduation lately. Yuuri was literally one of the top 3 in NMB nowadays. Tanigawa Airi, Jo Eriko and Naiki Kokoro were all among the more popular members. Iwata Momoka, Kushiro Rina and Kawakami Rena were not exactly unpopular either. So it seems to affect both popular and unpopular girls.

 

Amiru is starting to gain more popularity because of 48G's Singing Contest, while Amimaru is one of popular D3 girls (even she got gravure :O). The rest is... few of them are more popular than NMB's staple theatre girls but still less popular than staple senbatsu girls

 

And even the popular fresh girl Amimaru is graduating, so clearly it doesn't have anything to do with popularity and/or freshness.

Well I guess Haasa, Keito, Mikana, etc. are reasonably popular among young gens as well but not to the level of Yuuri, Airi, Eriko, Kokoro etc. Also I saw recently that Shobu Marin got solo gravure which is quite a big deal for a kenkyuusei, but I'm not sure if it's reflective of her overall popularity or just showing she's going the gravure route.

 

Maybe mgmt knows these members' plan and thus recruit more girls?

 

Well D3 was up to fans and NMB fans got more compared to other groups. But I guess the fact they auditioned for 6th gen so soon after getting so many D3s shows they at least suspected upcoming graduations. That being said, 48 groups in the past few years all had many graduations so I don't think that's really NMB specific. Also, NMB's teams are small even with recent promotions (after all the currently announced graduations are over, there will only be 11-12 people per team) so maybe the management got so many kenkyuusei with the expectation of filling those teams up to 16+ eventually. I wonder why more of the kks, at least D3s, haven't been promoted yet but I guess that's a topic for another thread.

 

SGO48 Gia Nghi has announced her graduation today. Her last activity will be SGO48 Koisuru Xmas live.

No suprised because fans have suspected her leaving for a long time.

 

Miichan announced graduation. Her grad concert will be in April.

 

So Yukirin will be the one ending the original members era huh.

 

Last Idol standing. Has been feeling like a staredown between her and Miichan for quite a while now.
And now Miichan blinked first.

I was talking about original members of AKB

 

I don't think people really count her as an "original member" which usually refers to the 1st three gens.

She has a likely chance of having the longest stay in 48G though, considering she started really young.

 

My senses were tingling so I checked this thread to see who announced it.

I am a bit sad the first generation is over but we all knew the end was approaching. She sacrificed a lot for AKB, I hope she finds happiness once this chapter of her life will come to an end.

 

Owh probably our perspective of the original members is different. For me Original and Golden members are the same, so i include her into the list.
