Her final performance is scheduled for 8/1.

 

Utada Hatsuka (Team 4) announced graduation. Graduation performance on 07/20, she will leave on 07/30.

That 48 Times gravure was very sus. I believe Karen and Ayane will follow.

Fujii Mayu was expelled from AKB48 Team TP today.

 

Hidaka Yuzuki of SKE48 Team KII announced her graduation. She'll be active till the end of October.

Goodbye to the current best dancer in 48G

 

Yuzuki has been my SKE oshimen since she debuted back in 2013, and the reason why I started studying Japanese (no one was regularly translating her blogs). I met her in person twice, and she's such a lively and fun member. I wish her luck on her future endeavors :'(

 

Nogi 4th gen Hayakawa Seira announced graduation and retirement from the industry. She will leave by the end of August.

Yoshikawa Nanase of Team 4 (ex-T8) has just announced graduation in her YouTube livestream. No last date has been decided yet. She'll continue to work in the entertainment industry.

 

As expected

 

So soon after she spoke out about mistreatment…something smells fishy here

 

Takaoka Kaoru (Team 4) announced her graduation. She will have her graduation performance in August and will still participate in the final team concert.

You know it's over when Rumba graduates.

 

With Takaoka Kaoru's graduation announcement, we now have 10 pending graduations in AKB. That will put us at 52 members and 18 Kenkyuusei by the end of August (which seems to be when all the graduates are planning their final performance)

 

If we get 4 more announcements, that would put us at 48 members... which I think is probably the closest we've been to that number ever since like 3rd or 4th gen were added.

 

At this point with so many grad announcements(and maybe more to come), i'm starting to think this is what management is trying to acomplish.

 

Usually there are a lot of graduations during spring-summer. I think the management couldn't fill in the spots because of the pandemic that put everything on pause
