We should take consideration about the "+1" factor : Oshima is updating her G+ a few, but some member like rena and sayaka completely destroy everyone "+1"/post speaking. I think the average amount is about 2500/3000 +1. Sasshi is a little bit behind but i think she is on 2000/2500 range also. It's interesting to see that paruru, who got not as much followers as Mariko or Kojiharu, get like 3000 "+1" most of the time while mariko barely hit 2000 (but i think it's because mariko is more on twitter). This factor is more relevant than followers in my opinion.
Hmm.. when I was updating my g+ circles, since I haven't after the reshuffle took effect, I notice that Jurina isn't in the Team K grouping at http://www.google.com/intl/ja/+/project48/ while the other concurrent members are listed in their respective teams. And that took me a lot of effort to locate the missing member in my Team K circle, damn it g+ staff.
There‘s a much easier way to follow akbgroup on G+. just using this website http://akbp48.com/archive/group/AKB48 And this chrome extension https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... bgbbfegnha
^ That's great. The original Google+ gets awfully slow when browsing if you load more that 50 or so posts... D: Btw Is there any active archiving project for g+? I remember some guy here who was writing a program in Java to save posts and pictures from g+. I was thinking about something similar myself too. Nowadays I'm interested in NodeJS and this would be a perfect project to get to know the language more for me... but this is not that important. The important part would be an open database for archiving that is accessible to everyone or at least something that everyone can build a site upon... Since I found this thread at last (I knew it exists, just didnt know where ), I'm quoting myself:
^ I think it has the same result with what we've been using. Editing s575 to w2000 has the same effect to that of s0. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-SoMP ... /s0/19+-+1 I think I'll be sticking with my g+ circle. I've configured the circle in teams and I find it more efficient in looking over a certain members g+ post instead of scrolling over a lot of members I hardly follow.
I'm not sure if this website is good...but it shows the updates of the members on their G+. Maybe I'm just lazy [sweat] http://akb48matome.com/
Just to share a nice little tool I got from a Chinese AKB fan BBS site recently. It's a simple little photo grabber for G+. It only grabs the pictures from the "Photo from post" section and does not grab video either (video will be downloaded as thumbnail instead). Regardless, it is still a damn good little tool if you are looking to make a backup of member's photo and it automatically grabs the original resolution of the photo as well. Credit goes to grtfor from AKB Board of PTT BBS for writing the codes. 32bit: http://goo.gl/bHZlO Win7/64bit: http://goo.gl/WGvID How to use it: It's very simple extract => run executable => Enter G+ ID of the member you want to grab from. For those who don't know how to get G+ ID, using Sakura as example: https://plus.google.com/u/1/102808008463301583196/posts The bolded part is the ID number you put in when the program ask you for it. PS: this tool is amazing and dummy proof, made the whole process of backing up member G+ painless. (It's even more efficient than the program I was using before. )
Here is the program for G+ video capture, Credit goes to the same grtfor from AKB Board of PTT BBS for writing the codes. Just use if the same way as the photo grabber from my previous post. http://goo.gl/WVchT EDIT: Links are now dead so I'm just going to share the tool link page from the program creator: https://code.google.com/p/gplus-crawler/downloads/list
Are there any updated/better programs for archiving G+ images and videos? Been using the photo grabber Taker posted on March last year so I figured there must've been some advancement by now. Something to solve the problem where only one picture is taken from a G+ post with multiple pictures?
Tomorrow (2019-04-02) customer Google+ is taken down offline for good. That was a good time; sadly, several posts might be gone along as well, because REST API has been already shut down a month ago and dunno if someone has tried parsing HTML frontend, I have definitely given up, too much work on few remaining posts, even if they include daily Mikurin doses. The same applies to videos, as they require using Picasa API, which went down even earlier.
April 2nd is going to be a sad day, indeed. Pretty much a chunk of AKB48 social media history is lost. Too bad Google+ got crippled not only by competition but security mishaps that led to its demise. Then again, when was the last time AKB48 members really used Google+? It was popular in the early half of 2010s, but what happened since, aside from general Google+ gaffes?
There are still posts daily - dunno if I see all of them, but at least Tanaka Miku is doing her part. I remember seeing more when the API was still up, at least.
Twitter basically superseded G+, no way would Maho have been able to get her message out as effectively if she had to rely on G+. G+ was good for long form messages because of the lack of restriction on length but where it was really strong was pictures, theater manager of HKT Ozaki used to post great quality pictures of HKT events and things like RH
They are asking to tweet a sky photo, for the last may, using the hashtag #ぐぐたすの空 The members are contributing. I find this ironic, most of the girls were barely posting. Now we'll probably see much more of the Twitter abuse wich is a text as a picture. Making it less convenient for oversea fans. Unless they go back to blogs or start using something like facebook. EDIT: From Harukyan's Twitter https://twitter.com/can2525can/status/1113064709148704768 Ever saw a close detail of the Gugutassu no sora dresses ?
Gugutasu archives! https://ameblo.jp/akihabara48/entry-12451401948.html Btw, if a member want to make a long post, they can just make a 755 acc and do it there. What I don't really like is instagram with its low res pic and members abuse it to write long post/answering questions in the form of insta story.
