^ This was an emotional SR for Hidaaya... family conflicts are always rough, and I hate to see one of my Eito faves break down... she'd obviously been holding back quite a bit

Wow, what happened in her SR?

 

she talked about not having achieved any tangible results yet, said she'd have liked to have some in the next year. Then said that while her parents hadn't said anything to her [about her lack of results], she really wanted to give them something they could be proud of [didn't really say it like that but something along the lines]. And when saying that she broke down in tears (14th minute in video above)

 

^ Pretty much... you can tell that becoming an idol probably wasn't a popular topic in the Left household... and since it was her 19th birthday, that's why she really wanted to show results. Not uncommon among idols as the enta industry isn't where a lot of parents want their kids if they have skills elsewhere.

Poor Aya... I feel for her. Expectations are so much more rigid when it comes to Japanese families.

 

Well, she is at the age where she could be doing something else. The fact that she's already 19 really does come into play.

 

Sad to hear that. If things still go south for the Left, maybe we should brace for Yamanashi gen 2 next year. Probably not just her, but some eitos especially those in "upper-age" bracket.

 

Hope she has that Momoment (like Momo). Something comes that would probably give her a little push.

 

It wouldn't be unreasonable to say that Hidaaya watching Momo receive all her work after her leap of faith and perseverance with SR... convinced her (and many other Eitos) to become regularly-scheduled programming.

She mentions just before the 14:00 moment that she really wants to continue being an idol. Team 8's proven to the other Teams, a very different, more cohesive dynamic is possible w/o generations of traditional senpai/kouhai, as well as a 45+ member group. Her parents have little idea how profound the work the Team has done means to Aya... therefore the idea of just dropping it to go to some desk job as a minor cog, must be terrifying and depressing for her.

If I had that 98% theatre win ticket and could apply it I wouldn't hesitate a single second! But she'll be ok. The only worry is that too many of "special guest" fans will flood in
