The group does not cover one artist but many different groups and genres. The group was meant to be completely based of voting and member's choices. Himawari has a rotating line-up and will only hold 20 members at a time. The first generation joined on November 15, 2017 with 5 members. Currently the group has two generations and a total of 6 members. Himawari acts as a normal Japanese idol group, releasing singles every few months. Singles are composed of the top two or three songs chosen by majority vote. Members are able to opt of a song for many reasons. Currently Himawari has released 1 single and are in the middle of preparing their second single.
