My copy of the single arrived in the mail just now! Haven't got to listening it yet, but it looks cooool. I got the CDJapan bonus photo (yay for Meru!) and the Mio calendar. I'm willing to trade the Mio calendar for a Meru calendar! The national handshake ticket included in the single is also up for grabs (I'm not travelling to Japan anytime soon myself).

Got my copy and I have been listening to it way too much. I have to say it's officially my favorite A-side by HKT, I am in love.

If the Majisuka Gakuen 0 was more than one episode, then it is possible to reach 300k. Just a feeling,,
Still, nice momentum though~

 

All HKT singles apart from Suki Suki Skip have sold more than 300k on Oricon, source.

 

It won't get 300k in one week, but at least it is already their highest first week sales already!

Because Oricon rounded the numbers for the purpose of that article @ForrestFuller linked. Notice the article has 28.1万枚 written. Not 281,000.

Side note. When I run 28.1万枚 through Google Trans, I get "28.1 million copies". Or alternatively, "28.1 sheets". So according to Google, Oricon is saying HKT has sold over 28,100,000 copies of Shekarashika. Or just over 28 pieces of bed linen with "shut up" written on them in Hakata-ben.

I was under the impression that HKT never got past 300k.

 

It's nice that they can keep beating their own record~~ even if it's not by much~
