    5 days after, the article still feel surealistic ... though it is known the management held ca$h members from graduating in the past (Yuko).
    Anyway, maybe I'm thinking too much, I'day the only small hints that could lead to Hitomi leaving AKB48 in her current situation, are maybe her (still) non inclusion in the mobile games, and the incredible amount of work she is recieveing (one could think she is aiming at a model career), making her situation similar to the one of Sakura before she departed to Korea.

    That said, If Hitomi and AKB48 are really targetting next Kouhaku, we know they will have to release at least 1 more single this year, so i'm not expecting any kind of real anouncement before the end of the year.

    @lionel90 , how I see it and this is just my own speculation based on interviews and her own actions.

    She came back to AKB but she still wanted the glamour she believes there is in K-Pop. AKB doesn't have any of that. In her mind, there's someone in Korea who wants to bring her a back. Miyuu thought she would make it, Juri was convinced that she would become world famous. "If Sakura can why can't I?".
    Yet, she does like AKB and Team 8 and she did promise her fans that she would return something to them. And that's why she's so focused on improving AKB dancing skills and she has the goal of bringing them back to the Kouhaku. Maybe a parting gift?

    Of course all of that depends on the interest that Korea has in her. Let's not forget that she was one of the least popular members of a group that didn't last for more than two and a half years. They were not Twice nor Blackpink. She doesn't look like your typical K-Pop idol either and over there they're very picky on that subject. Sure, there are groups and groups, agencies and agencies, even Riona is a K-Pop idol, right?

    Oh well, as long as she doesn't have to go on enjo kousai...

    Yeah I don’t think she would do well if she returned to Kpop, she’s better suited to be a J-idol imo.

    However, I can imagine it was rather jarring to return to Jpop after experiencing Kpop and how lucrative it is. I was a Kpop fan before I got into Jpop, and even I was surprised at how different everything was.

    Honestly I don't expect Hitomi at all in the drama, just like (m)any extra AKB48 activities that have happened in the last 12 month.

    Like you said, she's back, but not exactly back.
    I'm a bit surprised she will do the Team A shonichi stage , Though I hope it won't be her 1 and only show this year.
