I watched episode 3 of the drama 'Octo: Kanjou Sousakan Shinno Akari' yesterday. It's the episode that features Hiichan.

To give you an idea, it's a crime show about a woman with synesthesia, so she can see very explicit colours that reflect a person's emotions, and she uses that to help solve criminal cases.

Spoiler: Summary of the episode, including spoilers

This episode featured a rough-looking guy, young with lots of tattoos, who had been recorded beating up a guy from a rival gang. He denied doing it, but both the victim's dashcam and the bus stop camera filmed the whole thing. Hiichan is first seen when the police go to question the perpetrator's gang, and she peeks at the police from behind a car, but then quickly disappears when the police woman spots her.

The perpetrator dropped hints about how they should search through the bus stop's archive properly to see who the real perpetrator is, and they find footage of a colleague assaulting a young girl (Hitomi). Turns out, he had been stalking her and when she rejected him, he assaulted her. She reported it to the police, but instead of punishing the guy, they moved him to a different station and forced her to agree to signing some papers.

Both men from those gangs agreed they would stage an assault at the bus stop camera and have the police go through the camera's material to find the footage of the assault, so it couldn't be brushed under the rug anymore.

It is a really interesting show overall, and I was happy to watch Hiichan in a drama. She played a role that suited her perfectly - quiet beauty, Unfortunately, she barely spoke until the last couple of minutes and felt more like a silent extra. She did have two or three lines at the end though, and I hope she will be cast in more roles in the future.

I predict she's fascinated by Momoka's short hairs.

 

It should be related to her previous mail, so it was one of those decisions that once taken you cannot go back. It can only be one of three things:

1. She kissed a guy in a drama and doing the same damage control as Yuiyui;
2. Mizugi gravure. She knows how Koreans judge a girl that does gravure (probably not the ones still following her xD);
3. She accepted an offer from Korea and will be leaving soon. She's affraid that her Japanese fans won't like that.

If it's something else, screw you, drama queens!

She's been very cryptic, so hard to say. Some people on the Hitomi discord server have been speculating whether it's anything to do with the rumour of Akimoto creating a new rival group for Nogizaka, as the rumours included taking members from 48+46 and putting them in the new rival group. But those are just rumours as well.

Earlier today she also tweeted something along the lines of "will you love me no matter" or "will you love whatever version of me?" but it had a light hearted emoji attached to it, so might just be about her cosplay thing.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. Her mail does make me worry a lot though.

I cannot wait for Hiichan to help spread misinformation about Finland.
Let's be honest, the chances show being anything close to culturally accurate is lowwww ESPECIALLY considering the description already is inaccurate.... Finland isn't in Scandinavia

 

I see that option as she will take some jobs in Korea, but stay with AKB. Considering the largely uneven careers of Korean based idols who aren't in the Big 4 (or Starship for now) it would be dumb to jump into something like that and expect at least the relative stability of being in AKB48.
