Huh? Aren't you being a little overdramatic? I didn't mean that with talent and hard work they could automatically achieve greater success, only that in the long run it could (possibly) lead to greater and longer-lasting prestige.
How many people look at the pictures ind the magazines and know them? Most will probably just look at the face and body for a sec, then turn the page and that's it. Of course I hope it will achieve its purpose and people will see them later in a different context and say "AH, I know that girl from somewhere!". But what are the chances?

Apart from the fact that I have so far insinuated nothing at all, except that she (from my point of view) has taken the currently easier way to greater sensation (and has hidden talents we may don't know about), it is you who is accusing me of these malicious insinuations - according to your own interpretation.
And where is the problem if I would prefer that they do LESS gravure or limit it to a certain area, such as photobooks. I just think it's better to use this approach to gain notoriety, but that doesn't automatically make me ignorant. I know that the idol world and gravure go hand in hand, I see it again and again since I got to know this area of entertainment through AKB, and if I thought it was as bad as you make it look to be, I would have turned away from this long ago. Check my list below, almost all of them have done gravure shoots (except Zukkii it seems)+ Shibuya Nagisa, Yoshida Akari, Noguchi Iori(=LOVE), and so on. Sadano Haruka (my NMB ni-Oshi) did her first shoot this year too, was I happy about it? I can't say I jumped around in joy, but I accept that she made it a part of her career. Just because I wish they would achieve it another way doesn't mean I judge them, especially not the way you imply. Being a little disappointed, yes, but no bad feelings like dislike or being disgusted.
The thing with Hongo, as it was with Yokono is, that they do/did too much gravure from my perspective. As I said at the end of my earlier post, maybe it's my imagination, but I mostly see/saw gravure postings regarding them.

 

One other thing might be the forum being much less active as it was in the 48g peak day.
In those time few girls threads wouldn't recieve at least an update every 2 days. People were talking a lot about their performance, their SNS / blogs, their side activities.
Nowadays it is the complete opposite, hence you may be under the impression a girl only does gravure when 90% of the posts are about gravure.

 

That's what I'm assuming. I know they do more than gravure, and it would be interesting to read more about their activities.

I'd have been completely fine if your opinion was that they do too much gravure for your taste. It'd be in my opinion a bit misguided, because why should they be basically rejecting jobs at this point of their career when they are (were) on their way to become the absolute top in the industry, and because they do (did) that much gravure exactly because of how successful and in demand they are (were) - but I would still respect that! To your subjective "please less gravure" you however mixed in some made-up objective "she decided to rely on sexual fantasies instead of on her character or talent, and that is.........." - and that's exactly the point we're discussing.

sure, you didn't come here shouting "YUZU IS A DIRTY SLUT!" - I wouldn't even be talking to you if you did! But you literally said she had better leave the group, you still keep talking about Yuzuha (and inevitably not only about Yuzuha) with such horribly patronizing attitude, she should have done that instead of this, because that would have been better, while this is disappointing... Once again, I am not doing this to dunk on you, or to make you look disgusting, or to tell you you have to like Yuzuha, let alone gravure, you can even dislike both of them if you wish, it is totally fine! And again you interpret it as "horribly patronizing attitude", just because I have my idea/wish/hope of the way an idol COULD "walk" her career. I never said "THEY HAVE TO" or "SHE'LL NEVER MAKE IT THIS WAY, THAT WH*RE" like I live in the 18th century. I have nothing personal against these women, and I don't know why I should just because they decided to do gravure. Would they have done better without ever doing these shootings? As I f*ing know. The dislike/disagree? It's obvious that we have all have different opinions, I didn't join this forum to collect as many positive reactions as possible. Someone has a different opinion, that's alright. The better when they dare to share them instead of just hiding in the shadows distributing negative reactions.

the problem is exactly that... we cannot ever know if you are wrong (or right)! You even write it yourself later in the post - you (and all of us) are not a fortune teller! Therefore it isn't fair to have any expectations from someone in that way.

I do not think it is ok to put the responsibility on her to do unusual choices that adhere to your views and values and express your disappointment when she doesn't - especially when you base such expectations on speculative assertions (see above)

1- I asked you for your neutral evaluation regarding her popularity outbreak. Was it due to her gravure or did something else trigger it?
(This is not to judge her, just to receive an honest evaluation from you. Of course, something could have happened later that would have had the same effect, we'll never know. Either way, it is good for her that she gained this popularity)
2- I never put any responsibility onto them, that would require me expecting/demanding idols to do so, don't u think? And that -we already clarified it so far- is something I don't do, it's just a wish of mine. I just watch and evaluate their actions with my views and values in mind. She's a public figure, it's natural. Don't tell me you're the holy exception?
3- It was a neutral statement, no judging/evaluating
4- It was, you partly made it look worse than intended/necessary.
5- Of course, but I have a feeling that some choose their (at least) emoticon feedback(?) based on personal sympathy towards certain users. Just an assumption, but it's not far-fetched if you know humanity.

No need to come up with this "old" post now, I discussed this in several posts that followed.
I don't consider my self disrespectful, I admitted that what I said towards Yuzuha was (too) harsh, don't ask me why I was so rude in that moment. But I will not accept that a user who is unable to understand my pov repeatedly exaggerates my statements to let them look worse. That's what annoys me.
