Hello everyone! The time has come again for Iwata Karen's birthday project! We'll be making her a scrapbook with short messages and fan art. The project consists of two members, YoonAddict (design and shipping) and myself (translating). The scrapbook will be created on http://www.blurb.com. Some guidelines for participating: Message length: 600-800 characters in English (if you're submitting in another language, estimate it to be within those limits). Messages can be submitted in English, Japanese, German, Finnish and Swedish. All messages, except handwritten ones, will be translated into Japanese. Handwritten messages and drawings must be scanned before submission. Please include your country and real name, so we can show Karen that she has fans all over the world! As the official rules state, please do not include any contact info in your message/fan art. If you do, it will be removed. Send ALL entries to iwatakarenbd2015@gmail.com. The absolute deadline will be April 1st, exactly 4 weeks from this date. Submissions have now been closed. We are looking forward to your submissions! Last year YoonAddict paid for the book and shipping all by himself, but this year we're thinking of offering the opportunity for everyone to participate in the costs of the project. If you'd like to give even the smallest donation towards the printing and shipping costs, please send a PM to YoonAddict. I want to stress that this is absolutely optional - you can participate in the project by just submitting a message, too! Feel free to share this topic anywhere you think there might be a Karen fan hiding!
Still can't believe this girl is younger than me I'll try to finish Takamina's present first, then find some time (between assignments) to write a message to Karen
Message sent! I hope it is no too late... I apologize as I learned about this project way too late and had some RL interference as well. Also sorry for not translating that. Time is the resource I have a least amount of recently... OTL
All submitted messages have now been translated - big thanks to everyone who participated in the project! Your heartwarming messages moved me once again, and I'm sure they'll give Karen the strength and assurance she needs, especially before the SSK.
Sorry for the late update! The book was shipped to Karen by YoonAddict about 3-4 weeks ago, so it should have reached her by now. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the chance of it appearing on her Google+!
