I think what @diocristian48 means that in a single beginner song (dance) they will change the formation inside a dance, so there will be some part of Beginner song with Kinal Center, Nabilah Center, but still the primary center is melody

Maybe your cousin saw the first part of Beginner song with Kjnal as the first part center

Honestly i can't understand hits records policy by releasing the short version near or even at the release date, this single isn't an exception. Simply didn't see any strategic advantage.
