It's been awhile since I've posted in here, but I do check this thread every day, or when I can get on stage48

 

I'm worried.

The way she plays Janken is so slow. It's easy to guess she was going for the rock. I hope haruppi will move her hand way much faster.

In janken you have to be fierce, like Mariko to win. I'm sure there's a psychologgical part in it, even if it's a 90% luck.

 

^^^ I think she's just having fun, but if she plays serious, she can win. Or I guess there's a 33% chance to win in Janken for any player , unless there's another video of Harrupi playing Janken, then please show me since I'd like to see her playing style

 

Janken is 100% luck XD Plus Haruppi already has her own seat in the big event, she has to go through less people. I'd be happy if she won, but I won't be disappointed if she didn't cause it has nothing to do with effort or being recognized, it's mostly for fun.

@hkt48fan, Haruppi dressed all goth From what I got in her post that she, Madoka and Sakuratan went to the Vampire Cafe in Ginza. She also says that it will go on sale on 7/19, I think on AKB Shunbun.

And so for that interview that
we had for the AKB paper,
went over to that [VAMPIRE
CAFE] in Ginza with Haruppi,
Sakura and Madoka!!

And when we got on the
elevator to go up, there
was a skeleton on there and
I was surprised when it’s
head came off ( Д )ﻌﻌﻌﻌ⊙ ⊙

Then after that a vampire
came out, it was just surprise
after surprise Σ( Д )ﻌﻌﻌﻌ⊙ ⊙

Even the inside of the
store, it was really gloomy
and the background music
enough to give you the
shivers.. Up until now, that’s
the weirdest place I’ve
ever been in

But regardless, all the while
I was there it was fun, and
even that vampire Rose-sama,
though I was really scared
of him in the beginning, but
he was really kind and such
a gracious person ＼(^o^)／

Even the food up there, the
drinks, the salad, pasta, the
pizzas and desserts, just all
sorts of different kinds, and
they all tasted good♪

Well, it turned out to be
such a great interview！
I’d definitely want to go
there again ー(♡´︶`)

activities, we chanced upon
one of our juniors as well

And then while we were all
doing our thing with our girl
talk, we happened upon this
cicada larva

They come from eggs after
being 7 years in the earth
and when they come out
they have a 1 week lifespan
before they become into
full fledged cicadas

I don’t know, I guess I’m
just lucky to have an
encounter like this

We all got excited and
ended up taking this
video of it♪ *laughs

I’m really just wishing this
cicada spends a good life…♡

Haruppi is so awesome she can even compare apples and oranges and nobody ever complains about it.

And I was never good at Wheel of Fortune... what is the middle word on her shirt supposed to be? [wonder]

I just played Jan Ken Po with Haruppi! Hope nobody saw me. LOL.

I guess it is to Haruppi's credit that it is much less noticeable now than before IMO.

In that pic the right side of her face (left in RL) is pretty much perfect... her other eye is bigger and off center though. But I guess she must have changed her make-up and maybe even tweaked how she smiles, so that you don't really notice it anymore; plus the way her short hair frames her face also helps too. [rock]

Haruppi is getting older now however, so IMO she will probably change her hairstyle next year after she turns 17 as she slowly begins to change from her cute image to a more glamorous one.

Because that was said in the Sakura thread I think I shall let it pass. I sometimes say extra nice things about Meru in the Meru thread too. LOL.

That post really just kills me. OMG... Haruppi... she is like so humble and appreciative and introspective and ultra sensitive to the things around her nowadays... she even spares a moment of her youth to notice the fleeting existence of a random cicada... and to wish it 7 glorious days of life. [rock]

 

^So out of curiosity I researched a bit about Hikoboshi. From what I get is that it's the Japanese name for the star Altair, Altair is the brightest star in the constellation Aquila and the twelfth brightest star in the night sky. Hikoboshi is the "male star". You also need to know about the counterpart which is Orihime. Orihime is the Japanese name for the star Vega and it's the brightest star in the constellation Lyra, the fifth brightest star in the night sky. Orihime means princess and is the "female star". The fact that all girls wearing Yukatas on July 7th isn't just random but rather a cultural event, known as Tanabata, a Japanese star festival. It celebrates the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi (represented by the stars Vega and Altair respectively). According to legend, the Milky Way separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar.

So basically it's a thing, the girls go out wearing Yukatas and each girl is her own Orihime searching for a Hokoboshi. Haruppi is obviously the Orihime/female star and she wants an escort

It's really fun and spiritual reading about it. It kinda made me wanna learn more about these kinda star festivals. mean they always pop in Japanese mangas and movies, they add such a nice touch to the story, but I never paid much attention to them, I just liked it whenever a festival popped up cause it seemed so much fun. tbh to me more than half of the Japanese traditions I have come across until now are so much fun and exciting. Maybe it's because of the way they're celebrated.

Actually, I knew about Tanabata and that it had something to do with Altair and Vega from watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya... BUT... I did not know about this...

The Tanabata festival/her wearing a Yukata/handshake session thing was ironically appropriate then since I bet a lot of Haruppi's fans only get to meet her once a year too. [clap] Except for... you know... the ones who buy a bazillion CDs and get a bunch of handshake tickets. LOL.

 

But I had a crap-ton of tickets from SayoCrawl, but this vast ocean of water keeps me from utilizing them myself. Thanks to the Interwebs, there places like Amazon and Ebay. [party] And who needs Apples and/or Oranges when you got Haruppi? She is the kind of girl who stops to smell the roses film a cicada. She is a special kind of dork.

Got it. Been up a little while now, but no HD. [shake] [shake] However Haruppi + Yukata = I would be her Hikoboshi, but that long of a seperation would never work for me. [shake] [shake]

Fixed for ya. I be kidding. They are both Very pretty in their Yukatas, , and I make no judgements on who looks better. [sealed] That's for each person to decide for themselves. Speaking of pretty...

Actually, at first I thought that post was epic... but then I went to Google+ to watch the actual film of the cicada... yah, that was kinda gross. Hahaha. I kinda wish Haruppi had stopped to smell some roses on her way home instead.

 

I gotta say, those are some of the most badly posed and badly lit photos taken by a "professional" that I've seen recently.

Thanks for posting about the Tanabata festival, I'm always seeing scenes like that in mangas like Kimi no iru machi

@aratafuru - its only really in photos that you see the difference and thats only if you're looking closesly. In videos you wouldn't notice it at all.

@gocchisama - Haruppi....like most of the HKT girls is too "nice" to play fiercely as yet, perhaps her time with Team A will increase her competitiveness.

 

those may just be off-shoots that the girls sometimes get to take home with them. in 2 of the picture the girls aren't even looking towards the camera, so I don't think they were intended to be put into a magazine like that^^

^Haruppi & Riinu! I am inlove with this pairing. I don't know why, nor do I care. [nod]

I want Haruppi to stick with a strategy going in to the main Janken tourny. She should throw just one thing, rock or scissors or paper, in the little side games all the girls will be playing leading up to the main show. Then at the tourny switch it up with the other two. The idea is to get every to believe you will only throw that one element, and when they counter thinking they have you beat, you throw something different.

Well her is hoping she makes it into senbatsu! And personaly, I would love to see Yukirin , Haruppi, and Miichan take the top three spots.[rock]

I'm mostly fascinated by hers shoes, I couldn't help but stare at them in each pic, she's wearing high heels and pointy ones for the first time! I don't know why but with the glossiness of her heels and their height, Haruppi looks like a lady in those photos

 

^ Maybe it is like Yoshinori Kobayashi said, "That is why I think Haruppi shouldn't get used to the refinement of Tokyo." Maybe Tokyo's sophistication and Team A's standard is rubbing off on the girl from Hakata. But then... when you look at her in the latest Eizo vid wearing a dorky headband and geeky t-shirt... maybe not. LOL.

 

You can take the girl out of Fukuoka but you can't take Fukuoka out the girl

Speaking of being out of Fukuoka (smooth segué eh?), I was checking Haruppi's G+ and she performed as part of Shinoda Team A on Music Station yesterday.
