    Mako, Juri, and Tomu full performance in PRODUCE48. It might not be obvious from the cut in the show, but Mako is obviously the center here.

    Now, I think Mako sang considerably worse than Juri here, while her dance was not that much better, so I totally understand why she got lower grade than Juri. (Whether Juri's grade is fair is another story).

    I thought Mako would be a favorite to be in the final 12, but it's clear she's not getting the focus from Mnet. Juri is getting the attention and Mako and Tomu are her sidekicks. Juri is also is getting the "I'm interested in Kpop and Korean culture" narrative that should have been given to Mako, Chiyori, or Miho.

    If she were to stand a chance and and do well, she has to distance herself from Juri as the show progresses. In the next phase of the competition, they are still grouped together :fp:

    It is interesting how they choose to focus on certain people over others (Mogi Shinobu seems to be featured a lot even though she's quite low ranked in both metrics).

    Mako seems to have a few reaction shots but non of the talking head sections.

    Mako is being overshadowed by some girls, and while it's saddening that her rank went down last week, I'm still hoping that at MNet give her more substantial screentime than just random reactions. I wonder if she'll receive an "arc", even just a small one would be nice.

    I guess with a lot of fansite raising money for Hongdae station ads, they can't help but continue to hold the space (i'd guess that place could be snapped up quickly, it looks to be in prime location).

    Regarding Mako in PD48, I am taking the same stance I used with Mako in AKB48 for past two years --- whatever make her happy. I am not even sure if she would really want to debut with PD48 though --- she likes dancing/singing because it's fun, but I don't know if she will find the korean way "fun" for her.

    ^ Well, yeah. I do agree that her happiness is the most important, but I'm talking from a viewer perspective. Of course, you always want to have your favs be given positive spotlights in TV shows.

    Pretty sure now that MNET must have hate Mako or something. There is so many cuts that could have been given to her in episode, but was not shown. Guess her intro video view count did came as unexpected.
    Sigh. Or maybe she and her group do everything so smoothly they didn't bother to show it, since it doesn't really fit with the narrative.

    I am pretty sure she won't be eliminate this round, but she is slowly dropping right now (currently 25th)

    seems a few of AKB girls have caught fire (Miyu, Moekyun, Noe, Nako) and Mako's been lost in the shuffle a bit after starting off high... we'll see if her Korean base can turn out some votes to keep her alive in the eliminations
