Toxicity of knetz is astronomical

 

I'm not sure I understand why Korean language antis would affect her work in Japan enough to cause her to graduate so that she could continue work in Korea, the supposed source of the comments. Unless of course she is doing it to remove the negativity toward NMB48, in which case I think she may be doing a very noble thing (or at least it looks that way to me unless NMB48 decided the negativity not worth it, or some agreement between both). trying to re-debut in Korea after supposed backlash for gravure however, not like those antis would miss an opportunity to flame her again, but the comments would be solely on her and not NMB48.

I'm sure shiroma miru gets the same kind of hate for her Japan idol work. antis seeing her as some kind of toy of the Japanese wotaku, not worth supporting in their beloved kpop. I realize this is a 2-way street though. Honda Hitomi somehow feels less suited as AKB48 center because of her work in IZ*ONE. both unreasonable, i know.

 

Sad news. Liked her and I feel sorry for her K-"hate" because of gravure. Is it such a "no-go" there?

 

Korea is also her home country (and that of her family). That is what makes the hate she received different both in kind and effect from the hate that was and is directed towards e.g. Miru and Sakura. And why despite that she still has reason to want to return there.

 

I'm sad and surprised about the fact she's already graduating, but it seems to be that unevenly large attention has been given to the "knetz issue" due to it going viral, and very little to the simple fact that she has been one of the absolute worst HS sellers in the whole group (sans the new 9th gens ofc, but even some of them already sell better than her) and it was becoming very unlikely she'd ever break into senbatsu or have any great success in the group. In other words, the "jnetz" may have not exactly been body shaming her, but whether they had ever truly accepted her I have some serious doubts about.

Shiyomin’s humor was over the top and sometimes cringey (interrupting and talking back to seniors) I think she got away with it (sort of) because she is Korean and her teammates knew she was doing for variety (murashige anna could get away with it because she was obviously half foreign, stereotyped into knowing nothing about Japanese nuance, and really young)

J-humor is nothing but over the top and cringe but not for female idols.

Shiyomin was revealed today to be the last of 4 members of a Korean idol group called QWER formed by Korean YouTuber Kim Gyeran where she'll be the main vocalist. She appears at 6:42 in this video which is the 7th episode in the series he's made about his project (called 'The Favorite Child'):
