i can agree with you on that...the most awesome element of her is the dance part during the Singapore live...so those youtube video never lie...she is good indeed...

Hello, fellow Nattsumii fans!

Add my name to Nattsumii's small list of supporters because I recently discovered AKB48 and instantly became a fan of hers. I also joined this board a couple of days ago. I figured this would be a great place to introduce myself to all of you, and to explain my reasons for joining.

TL;DR below

A little about myself:
I live in Chicago (Go Bears!) and I'm studying Computer Science.

This may come as a shock to a lot of you, but I am not a J-Pop fan or a Pop music fan in general. I mainly listen to Rock and Metal such as the Led Zeppelin, Metallica, and Killswitch Engage.

The main reason I follow AKB48 is because they do a lot of very unique things in the realm of music such as elections, personal videos, blogs, etc. I know other artists do this stuff too, but it seems like AKB48 is really based around these things and I like that.

I recently started studying Japanese, so I did some searches on things that were popular in Japan. This group obviously came up, which was mainly due to the Eguchi Aimi thing that appeared in most results, so I decided to check them out further. As mentioned above, I like how the group structures itself, so I decided to follow them regardless of my musical tastes in order to gain a better sense of Japanese culture, which has helped me quite a bit from reading these forums.

Some of you may be asking "Why not just listen to a Japanese Metal Band if you want to listen to Japanese music?", and my answer is that I didn't really find any I liked (I also didn't look too hard since my goal wasn't to find a new band to listen to all the time).

I am posting all of this on this thread because I plan on visiting and contributing to this thread the most due to Nattsumii being my favorite. I also figured you guys should know a little about me and why I am here.

Nattsumii is my favorite and I will be posting in here the most, so I thought I would say hello in here.

I'm not a jpop fan at all though. I'm just a fan of AKB48 due to what I mentioned above. I still listen to their music, but it is mainly to support the group and Nattsumii.

What's been happening to this thread? It seems to be dying based on the timestamps on the posts. Did a lot of the other members stop posting or are they no longer fans of hers?
