Miyazaki Miho (Myao) / 5th Generation

I was really happy to see her on AKBingo again, but I was very distracted by her heavy "ulzzang" make up. I guess it's her thing now, maybe it'll grow on me.
Anyway it's fine to be "heavier" it's just that many people suggest her drop in popularity was as a result of gaining weight. So maybe it's better for her popularity if she's thinner? Hope she's healthy though.

 

She was one of the most popular in SDN48 yes, but even in AKB she may not have been senbatsu level popular, but I always felt that she was one of the prominent members in the group, especially in the early days before the younger girls started emerging and overtaking the older members. Girls like Kayo and Myao already had the body type that people are criticising when they debuted, so it wouldn't make sense to say that they didn't want them because of that, because why did they choose them and feature them in songs and tv shows in the first place? There are so many girls in the 48G, current members and graduates alike, who "fell from grace" and got overtaken by other members, I don't know why people sometimes act like it's a unique thing and blame it on weight gain or ridiculous things like discrimination ("Akimoto Sayaka being shafted cause she's half Filipino" for example ).

 

Yeah, I really dislike all the picking on the weight, esp. during TV-Shows (even when it's just for fun). It's the same with Shimada Haruka and Oba Mina, it really annoys me :/

 

I know right? I really don't get how this is acceptable, people just don't realise how damaging it can be when you make remarks about someone's looks, especially young girls. It always makes me want to support them even more and wish I could tell them how beautiful they are. It's sad that we're even discussing this, it's always this subject that comes up in threads of girls like Myao, Haruu etc.

 

Myao did get a bit fat but Shimada and Oba definitely aren't.

Shimada's slimmed up too as well.

 

The change is a bit too drastic to me Of course, being in the entertainment industry means you must look appealing to other people, but for me Myao's body previously was perfectly fine and I never saw her being fat, but cutesy-type of chubby which is the perfect body shape for her Anyhow, I hope she doesn't take drastic measures just to slim down, there are lots of people who prefer chubby girls than skinny ones

 

I wasn't aware she was losing weight. She looks great. But there wasn't anything wrong with the way she looked before... Though she (and girls like Shimada and Amina) stick out a little cause other girls around are very skinny and small. It's hard for girls, especially those in entertainment to balance health and beauty.

That could be anyone, I don't she looks like Myao except the eyes perhaps which are so heavily edited they are barely eyes anymore.

 

Myao has returned to Team A! Her original team Hopefully the shuffle helps her to shine a bit more once again

 

And the current setlist at team A is Renai Kinshi Jourei.... I feel so happy

 

I really want her to shine once more!!

 

I think that's what we all want.
