I'm hoping to see that we have some Mixed Martial Arts and Sogo Kakutogi fans here in Stage48.

Right now, the premeir Mixed Martial Arts Heavyweight Tournament is going on right now. Probably the greatest gathering of Heavyweight fighters we'll see in the sport for decades.

Sergei Kharitonov just smashed former UFC Champion Andrei Arlovski.

Fedor Emelianenko takes on Antonio Silva next.

In April, the other half of the tournement sees the following:

    Josh Barnett x Brett Rogers

Fabricio Werdum x Alistar OvereemLooking to see Barnett take his fight and face Kharitonov in the Semi's. Also hoping for Emelianenko and Overeem to take their tournament bouts to setup up their Heavyweight dream match.

Nothing really on my mind as far as the UFC goes. Top flight Japanese fighters from years past have been tanking over there. Only Okami Yushin has been doing well, but he has no name value here in Japan. Now, he's been shafted; his title-bout with Anderson Silva has been shelved indefinitely.

On the women's scene, Gina Carano is back. Rin Nakai has been doing pretty good in Japan and is thinking about traveling across the ocean for a stateside debut.

Fedor's match was stopped by the doctor and Antonio Silva moves on to the Semi-Finals. Looks like this is Fedor's last match, as well. End of an era; it was great seeing him in person during his PRIDE FC hey-day here in Japan. Looking forward to the next round.
