CD Japan doesn't sell books so we will never find them there.

    YesAsia price is obscene, BTW.

Previews are rare for AKB PBs

 YesAsia's price is like 4000 yen more for all 4 of them:!:

^^ Haha! That would explain it. Why did I think they did...

17.42 GBP is about 3700 Yen, some 1200 over the quoted figure. But we get free shipping (and no duty, if that's applicable).

    Edit quoted and other stuff

I've just preordered 2 of them (A &K) with HMV JP, price is not bad at all, I just hope they won't change the shipping cost later.

I'm pretty sure they'll change the shipping cost. In my experience with them, they low-ball the shipping estimate for items such as photobooks. I've usually been charged 50-100% more in shipping, than the original quote. Plus you lose a day or two after the release because you have to respond to them saying you'll accept the new shipping charges.
(I've been screwed by them before concerning post-release availability of stuff I've pre-ordered. So now I choose not to use them anymore unless nowhere else has the items I'm looking for.)

I'm waiting for Amazon Japan to preorder. I haven't had a problem with them yet.

That's weird there's no SEED one on YesAsia.

I'm so tempted to just do YesAsia, despite the added cost. I'm a sucker for free international shipping. Any other merchants that have it?

Just to ask, if we order the PB's of a place like YesAsia or another site, do we still get the photo's?

It's not just weird, it's completely bizarre! As you can see in the above e-mail, they have given the SEED photobook a YA Catalog number, yet this book still isn't showing on their website!
I've tried searching by title, ISBN number, catalog number and even by browsing pre-orders, but it doesn't show up at all.

I've contacted YA Customer Support yet again, in the hope that they might finally get this sorted out( Third time lucky and all that! ;) )

    That's a ton of pictures!

I hope that once they come out, there'll be some international trading going on via these forums.

(I hope that the pictures in the PB aren't just the Kouhaku outfits.)

OK so lets do the math please correct me as i feel i am doing soemthign wrong and completely forgot my probability functions.
If you buy 1 photobook and are looking for a particular photo you have 5/ (53members X 4 types of photos) = 5/212 = 0.023... = 2% chance you want a particular photo of a specific member in one book.
Now say we don't care about the type of photo and jsut want a particular member that would be: (and this is where i got confused):
argh i completely forgot how to do it if you guys know pls help. But based on my calculations which are wrong but i think close it takes about 25 = (25 X 2% = 50% which is what is minimum necessary) books of the same type of book to get a particular photo of a particular girl. ARgh soemone pls help.
Either way i won't go nuts but i am goign to get 1 of A,K, and B and then another A for my bro so that 20/848 probability.
