I love these translations, thanks joooooooooe !!

Are my eyes deceiving me? [shock]

In the last picture it looks as if Amina got a new haircut. To me it looks A LOT shorter than before. Could somebody please check?
I'm a little confused, because she doesn't mention anything.

Yeah I'm curious about that as well.

It certainly looks like she did get a haircut, and all the people who commented on that post seemed to think the same thing.

I suppose I should go look for some video footage or and LOD....

it's not up yet for us non-premium niconico douga users, but in a week you should be able to view her appearance on the bamboo channel on niconico here where she appeared on a show and where the announcement was subsequently made.

Kinda took a break because I decided to focus on more... concrete Japanese study. But I'm behind by 6 entries, better start cracking on it.

This stuff is really killing me. I think what makes it really difficult on me is how their writing style is altered to reflect what's going on and it makes me realize the gravity of the situation...

Most people I've talked to from Tokyo have said that they're okay, but they're really worried about Northern Japan to the point where they can't sleep.

This girl is so cute~ It seems just about all of the members are watching the news with their parents lately. It breaks my heart, but you can tell they're really strong <3

*Edit: I forgot to mention Shunbun No Hi... [Thanks to Llewella!]

    2011-03-18 22:22:22 March 18 (Friday)
    I visited a graveyard
with Mama today.* [This is a national holiday known as "Shunbun No Hi"]

    We cleaned up neatly,
    placed fresh flowers, lit incense
    and sprinkled water.

    Grandpa, Grandma,
    and everyone's happiness
    we prayed for.

    I'm really thankful
for what I have right now
and will always remember these feelings.

    Amina cannot do much alone
    if that is the case
    surely, together with everyone
we might be able to do something..

    That is what I believe.

    I pray that
    little by little
    everyone's combined efforts
    will pay off and
the people in the affected areas
will have a peace of mind
and have the will to live on.

    Saving electricity, saving water, fund-raising
everyone let's continue as we are.

    PS

I've read all the blog comments.

Reading the comments is the one thing
    that keeps me at ease.

    I'd like to know
    even more about everyone.

    [To all twitter users]
At present on twitter, use of tags continues for official rescue calls.
At the same time, due to highway restoration, electricity cuts and satellite telephone installation the improvement of reliable communication is slowly recovering.

And so we have a favour to ask of everyone.
Please refrain from carefree retweeting of relief and rescue RT.
Before using RT, and it may be too late to enquire of the correct
situation, please contact your nearby Disaster Relief Headquarters.

Regarding the RT, someone may be waiting to be in contact with the
Disaster Relief Headquarters and in turn the Disaster Relief
Headquarters may leave the original cause for another.
In order to get in contact with the Disaster Relief Headquarters
    please share the RT.

Furthermore, please refrain from posting rescue and relief
messages within blog comments as the internet alone can be unreliable.
Naturally, if you, your family and friends share information which
does not affect the current state of the disaster relief, feel
free to use the blog comment form.
(The Disaster Relief Headquarters has a lot of information to
verify and whatever is shared will be spread through the following morning news broadcast.)

At this rate, one person may walk away with no hope and relief of
being resolved and the Disaster Relief Headquarters being buried in complaints may obstruct the relief effort.Refrain from sharing information which has not been clarified first unless it is necessary to use RT.

Everyone that is not in the affected areas should be able to
identify the reality of the situation.

    ■ Disaster Relief Headquarters (Prefecture) - Telephone number

    Iiwate ... 019-651-3111

    Fukushima ... 024-521-2101

※ Besides the above listed numbers, There are Disaster Relief Headquarters for each municipality. Please confirm all prefectures HP information.

We humbly thank you for you cooperation.
Let's stand firm and cooperate together!!

    You're welcome~
Amina visited the grave due to the national holiday Shunbun No Hi
It's also more than that, simply wanting to do the best for her ancestors. Amina is quiet family orientated after all :inlove:

Just curious, Amina only mentioned only trying to contact her mom and I didn't really see a mention of her dad... are her parents divorced or does Amina know for sure that her dad is safe /elsewhere and not affected by the quake?
