Shiraishi Mai (Maiyan) / 1st Gen

Hopefully Johnson it's the last. At least for this year.

 

every time there are rumors stating that Maiyan will graduate there must be other members who first stated their graduation. but it will be interesting if Maiyan announces graduation in the spring whether the graduation song has a summer theme?

 

Well it's possible for her to announce it around that time. She might choose to graduate right around her birthday. And she'll be 27 already next year so it's only right to think of doing other stuff. Same goes for Maichun, Misa and Matsumura. But no one can tell, younger 1st gen seems eager to beat the older ones when it comes to graduation. Watch out for Reika, Kaz and Kanarin.

 

Tbh i've already think that this year is her last year with Nogi. Atm, i think 26 is old enough to be an idol. But instead of her, it's turn to Ikoma then all of graduated member after Ikoma is younger than Maiyan. So i start thinking that maybe Nogi is her comfort-zone. Of course she will be okay if she left Nogi. But then, can she find a friend she loved like Matsumura and Ikuta outside there? I don't think so.

 

I dont want belittle rumours but i kinda sense Maiyan will be - tho' not technically - among the last of first gen to graduate. Her presence is needed for nogi transition,to losing many (and key) members and nurturing new inclusion at short time span is not sound likely, not very smooth move if I pretend from management pov. Ofc we believe she already give consideration regard at this point of her career but i can see her turn altruistic for the group sake, well idk, my bet at least for one year calender more - which in mine "make believe" statement, its announcement probably after summer like the current nanase -

Japanese finance magazine Nikkei TRENDY has released its annual "2018 Hit Products Best 30" list which highlights the most popular consumer goods and trends.

On the magazine's 2019 Best Hit Prediction press conference, the magazine chooses Japanese actor Tanaka Kei and Nogizaka46 member Shiraishi Mai as "Best Hit People of 2018" and "Face of 2018".

Shirishi Mai is chosen as the "Face of 2018", thanks to her photo books, CD single and TV commercials' appearances. Shiraishi Mai's solo photobook "Passport" (2017) is still one of hot product in 2018 which has shipped over 320,000 copies totally, and the group's photo book "Nogisatsu" is ranked 25th place in 2018 Hit Product Best 30, she serves CENTER position for Nogizaka46's 20th single which was one of popular singles of year. Moreover, she had numerous TV comericals in 2018, and even was named CM Queen (first half of 2018) by Meta Data in July 2018.

 

Wow, that's quite an achievement. Year 2018 continues to be a very lucky year for Maiyan. Congratz!!

 

I bet Passport will still appear in top 10 yearly PB chart. And she centering most popular Nogi's single of the year.
