Hey guys,I need enlightenment regarding the Handshake event tickets for OkiDoki.

I wonder if any veteran here can give me a better guide on how SKE handshake ticket from their new single (OkiDoki) works? Because I'm planning to go Japan soon and I happen to be around for OkiDoki 18Dec Handshake in Nagoya.The other dates are 11/13 and 1/15/12.

I wonder what are the steps that I need to take if I were to purchase the LE of OkiDoki Type A/B/C.

The so-called "handshake event ticket" provided in each copy of cd,does it specifically state the date of HS that the ticket allows the holder to attend?

Or it is just a general piece of paper stating that I need to exchange it for the handshake ticket as well as choosing which member I want to handshake with on the day of HS event at the venue

I hope you can guide me along as this will be my first handshake experience in Japan.
Been wanting to go meet Shawako in Japan after she came to Singapore and I am SO LOST about this

I'll get back to you as soon as I know the answer. But I think, you just need to purchase a CD and come to the handshake event venue and have the ticket exchanged for a handshake stub for a specific girl.

Not entirely sure so I'll get back to you on that one.

Sales might have been affected by the shitty schedule, right smack in the middle of a sub-unit release blitz that has fans scratching their heads on how to fund their purchases.

Also, the single was leaked a couple of days ago so casuals who do not attend handshake events and all that, will probably get it free instead of paying for it.

This time, you change your ticket from the CD for a common handshake ticket, not member specific tickets. It's the same rules with AKB now since AKS took over. If you're going for Matsui Jurina or Matsui Rena, then you're in luck coz the tickets won't run out like they did in the past, and you don't have to get there too early. Just remember that if you're late, you might end up spending the whole day lining up.
The same thing might be expected for Takayanagi Akane, Hata Sawako and Suda Akari as well.
But they're not that popular yet, so the prospects are just around 5000 heads max, with prob half of that lining up for W Matsui.
The last time I went, around September, I was number 2000++, and adding up some latecomers, it might have been around 3000 participants.

^Lolz join the bandwagon, yic17. Well, SKE does have a much lower average age. That's why most of them would look better without makeup than AKB members.

It seems like Jurina had a bed in her room the last time they shot her bedroom, in AKBINGO. But probably she's too big now to sleep with her mum in one bed. Besides, it's common for Japanese ppl to sleep on a mattress spread on a tatami floor, which is quite warm even during winter.

Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that. I sleep in a futon as well and it gets pretty cold in winter due to what foreigners might consider insufficient heating in general Japanese apartments / houses. Because we got pretty extreme temperatures in summer, people don't care much about properly heating their places, so if you're cold you sleep under / near a kotatsu (which is wonderfully comfortable) or you use the heating mode on your air conditioner.
But sleeping just like that in winter will be pretty cold, at least in the first half hour or so. I've done it though.

@ Lonehunter: The last time they did an handshaking in Tokyo there were almost 10.000 people...but yes, most of them were there for J, R & A.

Now we don't need to fear about tickets running out, but for the most popular members you have to wait a loooooong time....

One great plus is that since you don't have to change for member-specific tickets, you can decide which lane to go to on a whim.

But anyway, I'll write something more detailed Sunday evening, once I come back from the real thing.


BTW, regarding the bedroom videos, I translated the red/white team ones (see this thread: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1711&start=50) minus Jurina, as her part was already translated by the valiant Lonehunter....

And since this thread is probably the best place, I'll post the other 32 members' part here, if anyone's interested of course!

(Kaotan and Kinchan are both from Saitama, near Tokyo. Almost all SKE members live in Aichi pref. or near to it: the only ones who didn't move there with their families are Kaotan, Kinchan, Ha-chan and Makki-, though her family is in Osaka, not too far)

As you can see, the bed covers, this cushion, the pillow...pink everywhere!

I do something very out of character for me...and sleep.

SKE48's latest single [Oki Doki] released today. How did it do? Did it manage to break their previous single [Pareo wa Emerald]'s debut day sales?

283,011 copies sold on it's first day. Which is an increase of 20k from Pareo wa Emerald. I think Oki Doki is a better song than Pareo though. Was expecting an increase of at least 50k sales.

Well there is still the rest of the week to go. Pareo wa Emerald sold 378,747 on it's first week, so Oki Doki will have to sell another 95,736 copies on the next few days to catch up. Will it manage to overtake Pareo? Or will SKE48's sales decrease too just like AKB48's Kaze wa Fuiteiru? Would this be SKE48's peak?
