SKE48 2nd Album [Kakumei no Oka] (22/02/2017)

Nice dance. It got some new moves that looks interesting. And the melody reminds me of good old SKE stage songs, which is great imo.

 

Did they sell 36,231 copies on the first day?

Well there first album only sold 51,875 on Day 1 (110,613 First Week Total).

I had a feeling it was going to be around where their first album sold.

 

Yeah, I was expecting for it to sell AT LEAST the same as that one.

But... nah.

Let's see how the infinite number of HS rounds help this in the long run.

 

The Theater version still isn't shipped anywhere in Japan and will be shipped on 26 Feb.
I think it will be counted as second week sale number?
and the events for this Album is not much, just 4 days events which has just started selling 3-4 days before the actual sale date

 

Oh, so these are proper "going to the store" sales? Not so bad then.

Wow, I'm surprised. This is not what I expected to be. How in the world SKE48 is selling behind AAA and SHINee???

Does this underline how weak SKE48 is among the 48/46 groups we have today?

 

As they said a couple of messages above. The theatre editions haven't been sent out.
So this is just regular/limited editions people bought ordinarily.

We'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see how it actually does.

1st album got 110k in the first week and ended up with 150k in the long run.
2nd album should at least get to 100k.

 

Iirc the 1st album was released on the same day with Kiss datte hidarikiki. And they also didnt include any events with the album. The only 'gimmick' for the 1st album is one bonus photocard.

If this album (which have events) cant beat the sales of the 1st album who barely did anything for boosting their sales, then

 

I have no idea but i have never seen any 48 groups selling the album which costs 3 times more than single without shipping the theatre version in the first week and opened the application only few days before sale. (except SKE who dared to sell the first album which cost around 5000yen without any fancy events and still passed 100k sale. the one and only! XD)
may be they should try too but they will never lol

ps.For first album, It has lotto to attend the event but fans barely care anyway

Why always the theater editions are shipped later? i mean, always happens that.

It looks like their management only cares about sales in the long run.
It's a weird communication strategy.

 

Yeah, but they already lost the free publicity that comes with topping Oricon.

I really doubt SKE management really cares about SKE at all at this point.

 

At least the new songs are pretty good~~ plus side lol~

 

I did a rough calculation and the sale is about that of 110k if this was a single. But in reality, single's sale would definitely be (much) higher with all the HS dates and gimmick. How many promoting events we have for this album anw ? And we are at which round now ?
