Hmmm, I'll try to join the big meet up in the holidays can't guarantee that I'll be there ...studies for the HSC. It's always the good stuff that occurs during times of test :fp: (I'm bad at trivia [sweat] ).

If I could get there, I'd love to come, but with RoSA and everything this year, it might be a bit difficult. Seriously, unnecessary stress, anyone? Maybe a road trip with friends to Sydney. [clap]

If the meeting is going ahead is it most likely to be in the city or someplace else? What assortments of things can we do?

    Re: AKB Fans in Australia?

oh cmon guys, you can give up 1 (tiny) day of studying to enjoy with us fans [hehe]

well if ya'll seriously busy then i guess can't do much about it.

    ^
Yep it will be in the city, prob rent a uni lecture room where we have a whole projector and massive screen to ourselves so we can watch loads of stuff (DVDs, tokyo dome, LODS, TV shows anything!) and maybe do trivia and stuff? You dont need to be good at trivia, its all about having fun. We're Still in the progress of working out what kind of things we can do. Of course there's the whole seeing everyone's photocards and goodies, trading and can't forget about socialising about our favourite oshis.

We might do karaoke and you dont have to be good at singing, and none of us are (if we were we'd be on xfactor), most of the times we just scream the lyrics louder than using the mic, its the whole atmosphere, just being there and have fun!

AKB official folders are like this, they cost quite a bit so some collectors just buy plain ones.

    --

Lecture room in Sydney Uni most likely lol.

Also, I'm selling some AKB cds for cheap (less than $10 each & some just $6 each) including unopened Eien Pressure and others, shipping domestically should be quite cheap. send me a pm if you're interested! :)

They have akb magazines, photobooks, books. No cds or dvds, i think you can place an order with them for things they don't have.

    Re: AKB Fans in Australia?

Do you know around when we will have the meeting in the holidays, because I'm going to order all No Name's CDs and it releases around when the holidays start and I'm planning to get faster shipping (3-6 days) so I can bring it along. If the meeting is going to be early in the holidays then I might stick with the slow shipping and save some money. Although I'm 50-50 if I'm going to come.

EDIT: Don't worry i ordered already. Chose to get faster shipping anyways :)

The date is still yet to be finalised but if anything it will just be one Saturday earlier or later (or might not even change).

Ok we've change the date to the 20th now, hopefully people can still come. The meeting place is Town Hall, Town Hall steps. I'll keep you guys posted :) :)

    Re: AKB Fans in Australia?

    Sorry for the triple post.

Hey guys, the meeting is happening on 20th April (saturday) at Town Hall (Sydney)
    The plans as follows:

1pm-6pm - Karaoke at Echo Point
6-9pm - Dinner at Yebisu Izakaya

Of course you're welcomed to come and join/leave at anytime but if you want to have dinner with us please let me know asap because we need numbers to book tables (reply here or pm me).

There will be tons of AKB/SKE/NMB/HKT/JKT/OJS photos/cds and goods to look at/swap and possibly buy during karaoke so it's not just singing and chanting!!

There are already 4 new people possibly coming and of course the super friendly bunch of us will be there too. So come down and enjoy an awesome day like one you've never had! :)

Feel free to ask me any questions!

I'd like to, even though I'm not sure if I'll be able to vote this year. If it's streamed, it'd be nice to meet up and watch.

    Hey guys
Has anyone ordered anything from yesasia before? Did you use normal shipping or pay the extra? Need to make sure some of my votes will arrive on time!
