Do you have the Thai spelling for that by any chance? EDIT: I have another suggestion. On member pages, in the template, how about we say the nickname at the top of the infobox, and the legal name in place of the nickname? See example: It still says "Nickname", but I thought of changing that to "Legal name" or "Full name" (open to suggestions), but to demonstrate, I'd have to change the template, and didn't wanna do that just yet. Maybe instead of the full legal name in Thai, we can put the nickname there in Thai, then have Legal name (Latin) and then Legal name (Thai). Let me know what you guys think.
Sorry I don't know Thai, maybe others can help. I prefer keeping everything like right now since not only BNK48&CGM48 uses nicknames completely different from full names, MNL48 (and also SGO48 if counted) also used nicknames and I don't think we should change for only BNK48.
I was originally going to question whether Thai nicknames are really the same thing as Filipino and Singaporean nicknames, but judging from the MNL48 website where only the nickname is shown (it's a useless website though tbf) it would seem that they are close enough. And the SGO48 member table already uses just the nicknames. If the members are almost never referred to by their given and/or family names, as seems to be the case with all four of these groups, then I think we should use their nicknames at the top of the infobox.
I agree with this idea. I think for BNK, CGM, and MNL, we should treat the nickname as the “regular” name and put it at the on the top of the infobox, then replace what is currently nickname with “full name”. I’m not sure about JKT. In the past I recall Takamina doing a challenge where she had to learn every JKT member’s name, and she learned their full names. Do they use nicknames only nowadays?
When members announce their graduation, they use their full name so in JKT's case it should be left in full names.
While not the release date, BNK48 has posted 「Jiwaru DAYS」 First Performance & MV Premiere 20.11.2022, 5:30 PM Notes for Teaser youtube.com/watch?v=r0oFiQ1doSs
so I was doing a trial for the nicknames on the top of BNK's infobox, where should we put in the Thai scripts for their nicknames?
is there a standard for how generation numbers should be displayed in the member's infobox? some members have it displayed in the infobox but others have the data in their page's metadata, but it is not displayed on their profiles. which way should it be?
For most members that I can think of it is in the infobox under “Debuted”, where it says something like “December 2005 / 1st Generation”. Can you share an example where that isn’t the case?
xiong ziyi's page is a good example: http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Xiong_ZiYi the generation information can be seen through the editing screen, but it isn't shown on the page itself other than in the categories at the bottom.
This was a problem with the Infobox template itself. It did not have a line set up for Generation. I’ve updated InfoboxChinese. Try clicking Xiong ZiYi’s page now and you will see Generation in the info box

snh48's chen qiannan graduated on october 19, and while it has been updated on the team NII page, her own page hasn't been updated: http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Chen_QianNan
Done. If you ever want to do this yourself, you can take the following steps: 1. Change their Infobox template to an InfoboxGraduate template. At the top of the editing page you'll see "{{Infobox" and then a bunch of data for the infobox. For an SNH member it's "{{InfoboxChinese". Just add the word "Graduate" to the end, and that will switch it to the graduate template. For example, Chen's page now starts with "{{InfoboxChineseGraduate". 2. Change the following lines in the infobox so the template recognizes the info: |group= -> |formergroup= SNH48 |Team= -> |formerteam= Team NII |colour= Graduate (Graduate makes everthing the black color) |graduated= October 19, 2022 (add this line) 3. Add a line in Team History for their graduation :: Graduated from SNH48 on October 19, 2022 4. At the bottom of the page remove the team member's template (TeamNII). Change to .
thank you so much! i wasn't quite sure which steps to follow so i posted here, so thank you for the steps!
