Final reveal shows that I recessed to a popular taste, with general top4 fitting into my top6... I'm confused by placing 3rd, noooo, I did not expect LOSING ranks... What to say about my choices revealed - Kashiwagi is eternally young, Yamauchi and Yamazaki bring joy to my life with their sight, Oguri is tasteful, Kaki got points for the PB I got to see a year late (good grabs!), Sato for the looks (and hopes for something more than just a temporary filler), while finally Komiyama for her former position among my ranks (I disconnected with her, really).

Zukkii has been my 16ki-oshi since soon after the generation's members debuted and I was delighted to see her center 'Shitsuren, Arigatou'. Since then for me she's the been the best of the regular senbatsu members but her HS and talk sales haven't been that good and my own experiences with her in both online and offline talks have been somewhat variable. Anyway for the moment with expected and actual forthcoming graduations it's looking like she could well move up to my own 1st place in the fairly near future.

Back in 2015 when I arrived in AKB fandom, Megu was the first of the newer-gen members who caught my eye when she was in the MV for the B-side 'Kafka to Dendemu Chu!'. Indeed she kept catching my eye whenever I saw her which was very often as she soon become a B-side senbatsu regular. Sadly though she only appeared in two A-sides although I hoped that her second one, 'Moto Kare desu', might be the start of something more regular. I met her in HS before the pandemic and I found her then to be a little quiet but I met her again last year and this time I had a much better talk with her. Next month I'll be going to her FC meeting in Tokyo and I'll have an offline talk with her in Yokohama but sadly I'll be saying "Sotsugyou omedetou". Her graduation announcement wasn't entirely unexpected but I was still very surprised at the timing, I didn't think she'd leave until later this year or even early next year. I hope she can find a good amount of work in the future so that I can continue to follow her.

And finally to my kami-oshi who had a very good 2023 but more so in activities outside of AKB48 where her acting career has been steadily going forward and she released her first DVD. In contrast her AKB activities have been somewhat limited and I was fully expecting her to announce graduation at her seitansai last October. Happily for me she didn't and I hope she can continue to balance internal and external work but quite honestly I'd be surprised if she was still in the group at the end of the year. Anyway for now I can continue to enjoy the activities that she does appear in - and because every single online and offline talk I've had with her since my first HS with her in 2017 have been highly enjoyable I'm looking forward to my next meetings with her at the in-person talks in Yokohama on 4/28 & 29 followed by her FC meeting in Tokyo on 5/4.

As I mentioned yesterday, we have a beautiful sky today!

The last year was like... Slap into my face to show me existence of this extremly super cute girl with wonderful wide smile! She is fighting to force kamioshi-meshi on me. I do really like her voice, how she sings "Zankoku Tenshi na Teze"... And her smile. When I see her smile, the day is 100% better. Her smile is something for what I love idols.

I missed a couple of days so this will be a very very long post.

2023 was actually a good year for Naamin but then she announced graduation at the end of the year . I will never forgive DH for how they treated Naamin.
Back to Naamin, last year she finally became the #1 singer of AKB48. Despite no senbatsu selection, she received 1 triple center and 1 WCenter, both songs were amazing. Then she had her Tokyo Dome debut (thanks to Love Live) and appeared in some music-related shows. As the captain of Team B, she successfully led the team to the end and became a reliable senior for 17&18ki. I didn't expect to see THAT number of members appear on her graduation stage, both senior and junior.
Da Re Da was a masterpiece so please take a look.

I didn't expect Zukky to rank this high. Well congratulations my dear. After Naamin (and Yukirin and Hiichan) graduated, Zukky is my #1 in AKB now.

2nd appearance of Eito duo in my ranking.
"Salad girl" in OO48 was hilarious and no one can deny that Hiyuka was one of the most outstanding contestants.

I ranked Yunachan #1 KKS this year. Currently the ACE of 18ki, Akiyama Yuna is a baby with cute face and sharp dance. Not only the ACE, she is also the leader of 18ki. Rank in top 3 for both athletic and academic in 18ki, this girl is an all rounder.

The most hard-working KKS, future "Theater no megami". She appeared in almost every AKB stage (KKS, B, A, K, BokuTaiyo) except Team 4's Thumbnail. Her hard work paid off, she had the chance to appear in the senshuuraku of Team B, the ONLY kenkyuusei. If ever team hadn't been disbanded, she would have been a great member of Team B, Asai Team B.
(and she has a close connect with my oshi Naamin so I did biased towards her a little more than other KKS)
Nothing better than a Hokkaido girl in snow

Aichan is the definition of the word "orthodox idol". She became AKB48 front-row in 2023 despite being a KKS and proved that management was right to glory push her. I'm looking forward to an A-side center this year, it's right time.

Despite her baka character in real life, she is a pro on stage. Azuki never disappointed in terms of performing.

The only reason that held me back on NMB48 after 557 graduation. She's an energic performer on stage, a gryaru girlfriend off stage and a comedian on variety shows. The funny thing is management is giving her the 557 position in the NMB center duo (Milky - 557 - Sakatan and Sayanee - Aayan - Keito)

Great year for her, this year is for her to shine even more with the graduations from some important AKB members. She loves AKB very much, hope she stays a long time to come.
02. 3. (2) [15|0] [AKB] Kashiwagi Yuki {+116,0}, 116 --- Arguably the greatest AKB member of all time, mainly due to her longevity in the group while maintaining top popularity. October was a bit sad when Team B, the team she had been in her whole AKB career, was officially disbanded, and shortly after, she announced graduation.

I gave her 6 points! Actually, in recent years, I've been trying to make a top 20 without members who graduated or announced graduation. But I just had to make an exception for Yukirin because she's obviously on a different level for me! She is the last remaining member from the time where I got to know AKB around 2010. and it's kinda crazy to think that she stayed in the group for 17 years! and she could even stay longer if she wanted, I mean, she is literally a perfect idol, from the beginning until now. She has always been in my favorites all this time and I'm going to miss her presence ;w; I ranked her 6th in my top 20 but in reality she would be higher, it's even weird to me to rank her together with other members, she's just special! She is truly a legend in the group and among idols in general. As a fan of AKB, I'm so glad that the group had a member like her. She's amazing

I gave her 15 points! I ranked her #1 once again Last year was another great year for Yuiyui. Just like I said for Yukirin, Yuiyui is also a perfect idol. She literally has everything... and she's such a hardworker! I love how much she cares for AKB... she's always doing her best. She's a beautiful person and I'm happy to be her fan. I'm so glad that she finally got another center single and I hope there will be more! Now that most of the other popular girls left the group, Yuiyui really stands out as THE popular girl in AKB and THE ace. I hope she'll take the role and stay for a few more years to lead the group, like what Yukirin told her. I always think, as long as there's Yuiyui, AKB is safe. Of course, the new girls will get popular and become important members in the future, but for now, Yuiyui is really important to the group... and with members like Yukirin leaving, seeing that Yuiyui is still here gives a feeling of stability, it feels like AKB is still AKB. Despite being only 22, Yuiyui has been in the group for 10 years and has a long history so her presence is very reassuring. it's really enjoyable to be her fan! I hope she can be successful both in AKB and in her own career and I will keep supporting her! I just love her! AKB is really lucky to have her ;w;

Overall comments on this year's ranking:
- We see AKB domination, not 48G domination, but literally AKB
- It's nice to see 17th and 18th gen quick rise to the ranking. Last year, only one 17-ki was in the top 50. This year 17-ki has 7, and 18-ki has 5 in the top 50. Way to go!
- The decreasing voters is a sad thing obviously, but looking at the number of votes for the members, looks like bigger portion of the lost votes is from Sakamichi?

Back to AKB domination thing, I'm wondering is it that they are just doing better compared to other groups? I used to follow all 6 of the JPN48 groups (event at one point liked HKT better than AKB), but now due to the time constraint only mainly focus on AKB. On one of my posts, I mentioned I always involve all 6 groups in my ranking, but after I checked again, this one I'm missing SKE. If I had realized it, Tani Marika would be the one I put on the ranking. Yes, she is a senior member and wasn't even an original SKE, also she had announced graduation and will graduate by tomorrow. Same thing goes for HKT, Sasshi and Sakura gone, now this year Nako and Miku. Also Yumirin for STU.

I know all the groups already had new generations coming in, but as I said, it's getting difficult to me to follow all the groups now, maybe some information or advice on which member the management is pushing right now, and who to put my eyes on, from SKE, NMB, HKT, NGT, STU?

My 16th positive vote. (+2) Aichan got promoted to regular members very last, regarding her popularity and skills.

My 17th positive vote. (+4) She fished me in Netflix series "Let's Get Divorced"

My 18th positive vote. (+4) Kuuchan is my most beloved Nogizaka members. She is in the route of Captain for this group.

My 19th positive vote. (+2) I love Kokoa's PB, and a bit saddened on her decition to move to KLP48. That's mean no more on her PB, but I can easily meets her.

My last positive vote. (+1) I personally and intentionly place her last, to not biased to much for her victory in Stage48 ranking.
