Beautiful World is so good! I also like Passion/Sanctuary, Stay Gold, traveling, Take 5, Prisoner of Love, Niji Iro Bus, Boku wa Kuma, Kremlin Dusk, You Make Me Want To Be A Man, WINGS, BLUE, Be My Last, For You, Time Limit, Movin' on without you, COLORS, First Love, Hikari, Hotel Lobby, Animato, DISTANCE etc. ..Okay, I guess the list got a little too long. XD;
My favorite of her songs will always be Passion. It's one of my fave songs ever, actually. Still, the "you're easy breezy and I'm japanesey" line was so hilarious XD
^Passion is also one of my fave songs. But think it is hard to chose my overall fave Utada song, there's soo many great ones. Think my faves are: Passion, Hikari, Beautiful World, BLUE, COLORS and Letters. Wow I had totally forgot how much I used to love and listen to "Letters", back when I bought her Deep River album 2 years or something ago. I put that song on replay so many times. *goes to listen to Letters x10 times*
My favorite Hikki album was Deep River. SAKURA ドロップス saved my life; I happened to buy the album just before I watched The Ring (English version) and I looped that song continuously after the movie... it was the only thing that saved me from being scared to death @_@ I was pretty disappointed with EXODUS and the other songs other than the Kingdom Hearts singles. However, with Flavor of Life I was recaptured, hee hee ^^ I like most of HEART STATION, especially Stay Gold ^^ I just hope that she's happy and well-adjusted... I know that one of the world's greatest muses is heartbreak, and what with her recent divorce and all...
MY favorite songs are all songs in single collectiong vol 1 especially automatic, first love, colors, and hikari I was kinda dissapointed with her Ultra Blue Album but she had many personal problems( divorce, surgerry, vocal cord problem, bad health etc) and I understand her I am just really glad that she came back really strong with the album heart station!!! I think prisoner of love, take 5,stay gold, and flavor of life rocks!!!
i got her new album, as it was released around the time when i arrived in Japan. Her songs off this one are really good, and the ballad version of Flavor of Life is fantastic.
She had an ovarian tumor removed in 2002, but other then that I havent heard anything else either. :O
I decided to cancel my order on Heart Station, after I heard the album. I know this album is very popular, but for me I miss her songs from the period of Deep River to ULTRA BLUE. Think one of the only songs I truly líke on the new album is Beautiful World, the rest of the songs are kinda blehh to me :roll: I used to be such a Utada fan, but then again I also used to be a big BoA and Otsuka fan, I just guess some things change.
^Funny thing is, I like Hikki's reecent works a LOT more than her early R&B stuff. I'm not a fan of R&B -_- But her recent experimental pop style is amazing! I'm really liking Heart Station (the album) Beautiful World is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard Still, my favorite album of hers will always be Ultra Blue. There's not a bad song in that album, is amazing!
Didn't like her earliest stuff much.. besides First Love. I also love beautiful World, great song, but the rest of the album doesn't do it for me. I still think that Deep River and ULTRA BLUE are her best albums.
