Continuing the thing I've deciced to continue every year, Was 2017 a good year for your oshi? What were the good/bad things to happen to her this year? A Look at the last three years lists 2016 - 2015 - 2014
Nanako: (Also Yone and Neru) Keyaki was on the loose this year, everywhere. And Neru get a GOOD Photo book. Manatsu: Another GOOD Photo book. Tani: SEND TO OBLIVION Churi: BACK TO SENBATSU!!!
Naachan: Awesome year. Ranked up (SSK, formation, etc...), got a solo song, gained recognition, promoted herself even more with the STU captain title, and is getting a solo concert. Nao: Better year towards the end with front row Igai ni Mango, solo debut, and then ranking in Senbatsu. Jiina: Awful year. Dropped out of ranking in the SSK and got shoved aside in HKT. Mahohon: Okay year. Ranked in SSK but never got any push due to her age and nothing major.
Rie: great year. 10th in SSK (didn’t quite reach her goal), 4th in Janken. Has a movie and a photo book release lined up for early next year. Good positions in Seishun Dokei, Aozora..., and the Hokori no Oka stage. AKB senbatsu for all their A-sides. Graduating NGT with confidence they can hold their own without her.
Average Year for Haruu until she called it a day. Just like 2016: Still low HS sales, though there were a slight improvement for her very last with 1 slot sold out Still unranked Was selected for only 1 single, ironically it was the SSK resulting one. Not selected for the 2017 album "Thumbnail" Although acting isn't her thing, she was offered an awesome character in Tofu pro wrestling, which I believe led to a raise in popularity (nice but too late), and some good photobook sales (for a theater girl level).
8 solo concert performances NagaraPro Enka Matsuri Tour Multiple appearances on NHK Kayou Concerts Overseas Appearances in France, Brazil, Korea, and the U.S. Co-starring role in a live play at Shin-Kabukiza First solo photobook Two Concert DVD Releases 6th Single release, plus an additional memorial version release. Two Television series, including a daily show on NHK. Special Honors in Fukui to celebrate her single, Saba Kaido. Two solo dinner shows Fan Club Bus Tour and Boat Event Weekly radio show on TBS continues Monthly live "Challenge Campaign" appearance in Chiba Countless live events. I'd say it was a good year.
Sakuchan: Continuing to rise as the future ace + Main lead for Tofu Pro Wrestling + Center for Negaigoto & First HKT solo center (Hitosashiyubi no Juudan) + Start of her weekly radio show Sakunoki + Starred in some kind of Chinese drama thing + Many magazine appearances + CM's (increase of exposure) + Announcement of her 2nd PB (although there is still nothing about it) + Increase of appearances in non-48G TV shows (like Kenmin-show which she was very happy about) + Solo performance in AKB kouhaku - Loss of AKB kennin - No surprise boost in SSK Hinachan: Great debut! + Passed the auditions + 2nd most pushed member in STU + Chosen to perform in Under 17 senbatsu for the song 'Hotei Sokudo to Yuuetsukan' + she will appear in their concert as well + Appearance in 2018 calendar
Komiharu Positives -In 47th and 48th single senbatsu -In WIP Climax 2017 -Center for new unit(7suki) -Seiyuu debut(Humans) -Recognition over photo taking on instagram -Some photoshoots -In NHK Kouhaku senbatsu -Going to be Team K captain Negatives: -Dropped 31 places in SSK -Wasn't in 52nd single senbatsu Overall: Some bumps over the year but it was a very good year in terms of content and new experiences for Komiharu, hopefully next year will be better and she'll have more jobs
Hirate Started strong but summer tour kinda killed her physically (maybe mentally too) For any other Idol pretty good but for the standards she set last year she fell of quite a bit. Miona -SOLO PB!! (Even tho sales kinda sucked ) -First row for all 3 Singles -AR Magazine Model -Recomen Radio Personality 2017 was truely the best year in her idol career so far. And with age on her side it doesn't look 2018 will slow things down. Hopefully she get's to expand to other things. Regular-TV Show would be good. Team 8 Overall pretty good tho SSK results were a bit disappointing.
Fukuchan (STU48 Fukuda Akari) Joined the group~ got selected for every STU senbatsu so far and ranked 14th in the SHOWROOM sousenkyo In the 7ken tour she performed an SKE unit [Wimbledon] Met her oshi, Hidaka Yuzuki, twice. Definitely a highlight (live fangirling on showroom included) Yokonyan (Team S Kitagawa Yoshino) Started the year by being the first 8th gen member to debut as under and soon performed with the other two teams too Performed often with Team S and eventually got promoted during the anniversary stage
Mayuyu (I thought her final year was pretty good) Good - FINALLY centered something after not centering any songs in 2016 - Released her 1st Album - Continues to get Roles outside of AKB48 - Remained in the Top 5 for the 9th Straight SSK (Top 3 for the 5th Straight Year) - Announced Graduation after doing so much for the group Bad - Didn't win SSK in her final SSK (Even lost votes for the 1st Time) - Her Graduation Announcement wasn't in her front of her fans - Her Grad Announcement got overshadowed because of a selfish.. (I'll stop there) Sakura (Oh Yeah) Good - Her Stock Continues to Rise - Lead for Tofu Pro Wrestling - Center for Negaigoto no Mochigusare - First HKT48 Solo Center for Hitosashiyubi no Juudan - Her own Weekly Radio Show - Appearances in non 48G Shows Bad - Losing Kennin to AKB - Still stuck in AKS (while a certain member gets a transfer she doesn't deserve) Katomina (60/40 Good) Good - Was Apart of Tofu Pro Wrestling - W-Centered two Songs in NGT48's first two singles - More Photoshoots and Magazines Appearances - Her Continued PR Stuff in the Minami Ward w/Ayutarou - Was apart of 3 out of the 4 Singles for AKB48 - Ranked for the 2nd Straight Year - HS Sales Improved and Good Bad - Continues to get looked over - Only Moved up 5 spots in the SSK - HS Sales weren't great for NGT48 2nd Single (+ Was barely shown in the 2nd Single) - Lost Confidence in herself
Kato Rena + Was 1st in the AKBINGO Lucky Girl ranking. + Rose five spots in Sousenkyo. + Signed to an agency. + Regular appearances in Sweet magazine. + Had a role in a movie. + Announcement of first stage play role.
